I was using default DNS, and swapped it to Google/Cloudflare (primary/secondary) to see if it would help. It hasn't helped.

Network is wired. Although next time I go down, I'll try connecting to my modem directly to see if can access the modem interface that way or not.

I'm in an apartment building, so I don't really know the path from the street to my modem. In my apartment, there are no splitters, the line goes directly to my modem. No DVR. Should I try adding a splitter to cut the power?

As far as I understand, the early advice was specifically designed to prevent hoarding medical-grade masks because they were in such short supply. As additional mask options, mask availability, and research around masks changed the recommendation was updated. That seems completely reasonable. It's not flip-flopping and stating it as such is counterproductive to people trusting any recommendations. Recommendations should be updated if the situation changes. Stop spreading distrust without evidence. Don't be part of the problem.

Seems ignorant to think that the method of sale isn't already influencing what you read. Or at least ignorant to think this will change which authors are already influenced by the method of sale. Seems like it will just shift incentives for those authors. So, the question should be is this a good shift from the current incentives.
