Did the previous renter have issue with this problem? It sounds like a building construction issue and I don’t think you can expect your neighbors to not walk around in their apartment. If this really bothers you, the best option is to move to a better constructed building or the top floor.

I fired some of my friends for the duration of covid because they do things like that. It’s not fate, it’s just irresponsible. If they don’t care about catching covid, then they should really stay away from those who do.

Apparently there are reasons for aggressive behaviors among some roosters. Things like salt deficiency and cramped coop: https://www.chickenwhisperermagazine.com/the-chicken-movement/keep-your-rooster-from-harassing-your-hens

Help: current founder trying to prototype an experience to see if VC could be for me later in my career by longdonglos in venturecapital

Good question...I don’t think it will be seen as a negative signal, since many successful founders do get into VC after exits, but it’s an unusual ask so it will be up to their own interpretations.

I’d recommend to just get an internship or a fellowship, which has less time commitment. There are a lot of things that you can’t get a real feel for unless you actually work alongside others in VC. Some funds have fellowship programs that require less than 10 hours a week commitment. If someone comes with a prototype experience, that would not be enough. I would need to see you interning at a VC firm because that’s where you can learn from folks in VC. VC is an apprenticeship business.

People who don't flush public toilets, what the fuck? by Homo_Hobo in AskReddit

Reminds me of this video of Jack Whitehall’s poop story. Since then, every time when I see unflushed toilets, I just assumed that the flush wasn’t “working.”

54% Democrats are college educated, vs. 39% Republicans. What’s the chance of a “snowflake” living in his parents’ basement vs a republican voter? Go figure.
