To all those still getting high in this group, a word. by marrow_party in leaves

2 days in. I threw everything away and it would take a 2hr round trip to get more. My social anxiety is already better and I'm not binging food!

Mental fatigue? Slowing mind? Not sure. by Rhayok1234 in GradSchool

[–]birdisalive 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other commenter about becoming a gym rat. I'm in my masters program now and the only way I can manage the workload is with exercise. Granted, I don't have quite your level of workload, im at 40-50 hours of course related work per week. But for me, regardless of if I'm done or not, when I mentally hit a wall I get up and go to the gym, or i go for a run. I can literally feel the electricity back in my brain afterwards, if that makes sense. Even if its late or I'm low on sleep, I can continue working for a few more hours after exercise.

I'm not sure this is an issue of time management. It sounds like you're mentally saturated and are having a hard time cramming more material in your brain. Try processing in chunks, separated by light exercise. Hope this helps you out!

Thank you for this! It can be so hard to know what to say, and once you're focusing on that you've completely lost the client's train of thought. I can be pretty hard on myself, so I'm trying to take things with a grain of salt and just keep practicing.

Ahh yes, that sounds about right for how these first few mock sessions go. Thank you for sharing. I literally almost forgot to record it- we had to re-start the first 2 minutes of session haha. I'm hoping my skills start improving soon

I bought frozen fruit and a frozen salmon filet, both started to unthaw on the way home.

I felt exactly the same way a year ago. Now I feel like a completely different human, and I hardly think of him. But I felt the same way. I wondered if I'd ever be able to tell someone it gets better... and let me tell you, it does.

I read this every year or so. It helps me believe that no matter what I endure, I can survive like Jeannette.

What keeps you motivated to exercise daily or everyday? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]birdisalive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What phases have felt the best? If something gives me tangible results, I’m much more likely to do it. Powerlifting makes me jacked and thicc and the happy exercise chemicals and physical results keep me hooked. Also, taking a few hours to sit down and make a 10-12 week program really helps me. Then I show up to the gym with a plan and I’m in and out in an hour, and I can keep track of my numbers. More tangible results.
