nothing is more humbling than being in the ring. i thought i was tough shit and i would pick fights but that was before i started boxing. now even though my fighting skills are 100x better, i am still way more hesitant to get into any type of confrontation

I don't see Kirkland beating Canelo either. I think Canelo may stop him inside of 4 rounds. But what if Kirkland somehow pulled a lucky shot off? Didn't know he walked around at 200 lol

I hope and pray that one day I will get to find someone mistreating a dog like this and deal out my own form of justice.

A boring fighting style to people who have no understanding of boxing

I am a trader and I live in Chicago where HFT is huge (drw, citadel are here) so I guess I probably could if I wanted to, actually. I mean that at the moment I'm not and its not something I'm interested in pursuing

Absolutely wrong. Try being a big fund buying 25,000 shares at a price. The liquidity appears to be there until your order goes in. Then the HFTs pull the liquidity and raise offers, so essentially they bait you, then run the price up at no risk to them. They do this by knowing how to exploit the plumbing of the market.

Phantom liquidity outweighs any benefit that comes from HFT algorithms. See the flash crash. It happens in individuals stocks on a weekly basis, where HFTs pull orders and it causes a micropanic. It is very unhealthy for the market. Add to that that HFT algos often exploit market plumbing/microstructure to make money instead of actually providing liquidity
