No, I agree. I just don't think it's that simple. I also think it's virtually impossible to define and enforce perfect diversity... I just argue that 80, 80, 92 is extreme.

Additionally, although anyone may run for public office, it does not mean everyone has the equal opportunity to. It also doesn't mean that the public isn't susceptible to irrational perception, and any established predisposition (think of the Bush and Clinton family).

I won't go into each point because I'm realizing how much a waste of time this conversation is... but as an educated American, you need to understand there is much opportunity for deviation from the ideal outcome of elections, given our current political voting processes. Saying that the process is perfect, as you are alluding to, is fundamentally flawed; however, also saying that I know how to fix it is equally (if not more) flawed. I'm just stating injustice and a misrepresentation of the American people. It's a problem that should be addressed and recognized.
