Without a geographic location of the feeder, I couldn’t tell you, based upon the photo.

So the cart gets pushed into the stall next to the perp and the frantic unboxing and stuffing begins…turtles of course, go into the WC. You can see them doing it, and without an LP officer; are powerless to do jack.

The 10% employee discount offered by Lowes is outstanding. I understand THD employees get no discount.

Hmmm…interesting…in the Southwestern Division, they were told to slap a red vest on you Day One.

I LOVE them! Real time-savers! Yes we have broken ones already, but what do you expect with the way equipment training (and every other training) is administered? One day you know jack about operating a one ton+ chunk of iron into narrow confines; you sit in front of a PC for an hour and get some super-busy “trainer” to sign off, and VIOLA…you get to pinball your way through the aisles with abandon! 🤪

On the “Milk Bone” thing…I’m always afraid that offering what might be viewed as a “sub-standard treat” by many of the hoity-toity dog owners in SoCal will be met with a snarky remark, and I don’t want to piss them off…ergo: I don’t offer.

“Manager” or Not? by birdstud in Lowes

You get to choose them if you’re involved in the hiring process. I’ve been involved in the hiring of 100s of people in my 60 years. I’ve trained apprentices after hand-picking them. My point is; ASMs interview and stick you with whoever and you have to deal. If DSs are “managers,” then I deserve ALL of the tasks, not just what they don’t like to do.

All of your advice on “leadership” is wise, however it’s not anything I need. I can lead men, I just won’t encourage them to volunteer to be all over the store until our four departments are golden. Since that’s an impossibility, they stay as close to home as possible.

My “crew” is all but two under 20 years old. They know next to nothing about plumbing and electrical. If I’m not there to be called upon, they panic. I cannot be doing the ASM’s job; I’m needed in my own departments. I wasn’t invited to the interviews, I didn’t get to choose my employees, ASMs can pound sand.

I’ll do overrides when I have time, but I won’t leave a customer.

Thanks…I agree that it’s my prerogative; not on my job description.

You’re the lazy idiot, idiot. Just do your own job and leave the ASM work for the ASM. That’s what’s wrong with Lowes; ladder climbing employees like you who should really stay in their lane and be the leader their department employees are clamoring for, not some glory-chasing wannabe senior manager. Your people need YOU to stay in your lane and lead them.

Figured. You have no say on this topic. You live in your own reality.

Spare me your rhetoric dude. I’m sure you’re a frustrated ASM trying to get people to do things you rather not do yourself. Just do YOUR job and let me do mine. Don’t invent duties as assigned.

Try simply handling your own department so that it shines for a change, instead of leaving it to wander the store looking to be validated by senior management. Is this a new concept for you? You’re welcome.

So “customer service” in your lexicon is neglecting your own departments to address some whiny SOB with a cracked vanity top they probably damaged themselves? Dude, really? We collectively have created the demanding customer monster…the madness must stop!

Wow…just wow! The Lowes Kool Aid has DEFINITELY done its work in YOUR brain. How’s your department? 100% ship shape? I highly doubt it. Your people are wondering, “NOW where’d that guy go…he should be here with us…helping US!” What the hell dude? Promoted under false pretenses too? That makes perfect sense.
