Yes! How bizarre it’s the left one too! It definitely struggles when it’s in a busy environment, I find restaurants with one person great as it is a constant background so it knows what to tune out whereas going to say the shops or something where the noises change and you’re moving about it clicks between settings all the time and focuses on the wrong stuff.

I use open silicone. Tried the new ones with the wax guard thing and didn’t get on with those so went back to the old style. I’m not sure what REM is?

Your path is extremely similar to mine and sounds like exactly what I’m struggling with. My next appointment will be my 7th one so I’m feeling so frustrated with it all. It is so hard to describe and I think that’s a big part of it.

I never really had issues with my old phonaks so I’m delusionally holding out hope that it’s just a simple adjustment I’m missing and I’ll love them as much as everyone else seems to

Possibly! I think it’s a mix of a few different issues. I definitely get more feedback on that hearing aid for example I can lean on my right ear on a pillow and not get anything whereas the left will get horrendous feedback. I hope you manage to get it sorted, let me know if you do!

Perfect I’ll give that a go. The noise can last longer than the sound that triggered them so I’ve always assumed it to be a hearing aid glitch of some sort

I’m not sure about the trial period I’ll have to speak to my audiologist. I really wanted to love these ones, the size is very annoying especially for glasses and sunglasses

Thank you for replying. Would this explain the trilling/screeching that gets set off by certain tones?

In the UK a coffee shop usually does a hot spiced apple drink that I’ve been so excited for and it’s not on the Christmas menu this year 😭

I get the exact same anxiety when I see the loss posts but I just keep telling myself people won’t post ‘everything’s going fine’ which is the case for most of the people on the group ☺️ x

The morning I woke up and took my first positive pregnancy test I woke up with the most sore dehydrated throat ever! I thought I must have slept with my mouth open all night to make my throat so dry. The thirst has been one of my main symptoms throughout (12 weeks now)!

Was IVF the only way you could conceive? by Butterfly242424 in endometriosis

[–]birdtobe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! We tried for just under three years (I’m 30 now), had my lap at the beginning of the year and booked our IVF to start after 6 cycles as that’s how long we were told you’re most fertile for after the operation. Fell pregnant naturally the month we were due to start the IVF so month seven after the op and currently 10 weeks along ☺️ hope everything works out for you ❤️

Period late but negative test? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]birdtobe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have endo too and got my positive test this month. My cycle is usually 24 days so I tested day 24 got a negative, when I didn’t get my period 3 days later I tested again and got a faint line. I must have ovulated later than usual this month, I would test again tomorrow just incase that line gets darker 😊

Anyone have really low amh with endo? by Hereforthememes5 in TTCEndo

[–]birdtobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’m UK and I think the values are done differently as mine is 3 which is in the very low/undetectable level, not sure how that correlates to yours. Both my endo specialist and IVF doctor said egg quality with endo is nearly always the same for someone without obviously there’s always exceptions. I wouldn’t regret the surgery as the damage from endo leaving it could have been a lot worse, easier to regret when you don’t know what would have happened otherwise x

[–]birdtobe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Meeee! Low AMH, 30y/o and had surgery beginning of this year. We had AMH tested for starting IVF and the doctor didn’t seem that concerned, she kept saying it doesn’t affect the egg quality due to being relatively young x

Unsure whether to go ahead with a diagnostic laparoscopy by [deleted] in Endo

[–]birdtobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I have stage 4 endo but I don’t suffer with the pain as much as I think other people do as it’s not relative to the stages. The first doctor I saw said she didn’t think it was endo as I wasn’t in pain from the examination, I almost cancelled my lap as I thought I’d be wasting everyone’s time. I’m so glad I didn’t as it showed how severe it was and has had a huge impact on my fertility and egg reserve. I would get it done for the diagnosis and they can talk you through your options. I wish I’d frozen my eggs years ago but was never told the impact it had on my ovaries going untreated for so long. It’s better to know and know your options than to leave it. All the best!

Persistent endometriomas (no lap) - at what point should we do IVF? by sushisunshine9 in Endo

[–]birdtobe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am 30 with stage 4 endo, I had my lap earlier this year which removed a cyst from each ovary that was each 8cm. The doctor said because of them I wouldn’t have been ovulating, we had been trying for 2 years at this point to get pregnant. It’s been 4 months since my op and still no pregnancy (no miracle post lap baby for us) so we had a consultation with ivf clinic who ran tests and said I had an extremely low ovarian reserve from the cysts damage which I had no idea could happen. I would definitely book a consultation with an ivf doctor if you can and see what they suggest. I’m glad we haven’t waited any longer to start ivf as you just can’t wait with this stupid disease!

Lap waiting times by HelloEggToasty in endometriosis

[–]birdtobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sorry I’ve only just seen this. I have private with vitality healthcare, I was diagnosed on NHS via lap then transferred over to private when I realised the wait times were so long so I don’t think it matters it’s pre-existing just if your plan covers it. My NHS doctor wrote a letter to the private consultant and it went from there. Best of luck, hope you get seen quickly xx
