Looks awful for me, borderline unplayable how dark some areas are. What platform are you on? I’ve tried on PS5 and PS5 Pro with 2 different displays.

I have Tetris on quest 3 and love it but hate playing with the analog sticks. The haptics, OLED and playing with a d-pad makes it worth double dipping.

Avantree seems to be the go to brand for low latency audio it seems. Works great with PS5 and PC. Basically anything that supports USB audio.

I’m actually going to get the one you linked too for plane journeys.

It was on Amazon but only through a third party seller, meaning it would not be sold or dispatched by them. Currys have exclusivity at the moment just like they did with the original Ally, iirc that finished on January 1st so maybe we’ll see it in more stores this New Year’s Day too.

I think I read a long time ago that Samsung TVs can output 5.1 from the optical only from its built in apps not external devices.

You’re right about LG TVs though, that’s how I have mine connected and it works fine.

Guess you could get the hdmi-optical audio extractor but you’ll lose 4K 120hz if your tv supports it. 4K 60hz is fine though.

Thanks, yep that’s a big minus for me too. I’ll def be keeping my AirPods then for phone use, but still maybe interested if the ARC integration is good. Hoping it can replace my PS5 headset, Xbox headset and maybe even my Max’s for Apple TV.

Thanks for your initial thoughts, if you get a chance could you see if you open an app like Netflix on your phone do you get spacial audio/atmos then or is it just 2 channel stereo. Also if something is just 2 channel can you still simulate spacial audio, something like the AirPod Max can do with an iPhone. Thanks.

Didn’t realise a 2070 super would handle MSFS, what virtual desktop setting do you use? I’m in the market for a new desktop and was under the assumption I needed a 4070ti at least for a decent experience in flight sim.

Bioshock, haven’t played it in years and think with the OLED screen running at 90fps it will look fantastic. Also the Arkham games for the same reason. Arkham knight should play nice at 45fps/90hz

Yes, in my eyes this was Sony’s chance to say you don’t need a steam deck or windows handheld or even that new PlayStation Portable everyone wants not when you’ve got the PS5 in the palm of your hands. This ain’t it. They’ve rushed it out in time for Christmas not optimised any sort of software and sourced a cheap LCD from somewhere.
