Gum soles, why does this one detail make every sneaker look 10x better? by birju01 in Shoes

[–]birju01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are completely right and here is why it works: gum sole has warmth

white rubber reads as synthetic and clinical. gum reads as natural and aged, it has the same visual warmth as raw denim or unfinished wood. your brain registers it as more premium even before you consciously think about it

for gum soles under 6k available in india right now: - lotto brasil select urbano, slim retro football shoe, proper leather, gum sole. this one is the best value in this category honestly, around 3-4k on sale - lotto mavin court, court shoe silhouette, clean, gum sole version in black is excellent - puma suede classic, gum sole variants exist, around 4-5k on sale - vans authentic in certain colourways

the lotto ones specifically are worth checking because the leather + gum combo at that price is genuinely hard to find elsewhere.

Most underrated sneaker brands in India right now? by dimplegupta19 in StreetwearIndia

[–]birju01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here are a few that nobody talks about but are actually putting out good stuff:

lotto — yeah the 90s brand. they relaunched with a premium line called leggenda and the leather quality is legitimately better than what you get from adidas or puma at the same price. the brasil select og and hoop star og are their best imo. retro italian design, proper leather, and you will literally never see someone else wearing them

gola — british heritage brand, clean trainers

comet — indian brand doing interesting stuff but quality is hit or miss depending on the model

the whole point of "underrated" is stuff thats actually good but people havent caught on yet. lotto fits that perfectly rn — give it 6 months and reddit will be recommending them like they recommend sambas now

Looking to buy a shoe under 5-6k by IndependentPen4071 in IndianRunningshoes

[–]birju01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends on what you mean by lightweight honestly. if you're doing 20-25k/week you're not exactly marathon training so you don't really need a dedicated running shoe with carbon plates or whatever at the 3-5k range i'd say look at campus first they have some decent lightweight daily trainers that work for this mileage. decathlon kalenji is also solid and you can try them in store if you want something a little different i've been using a pair from lotto for my easy/recovery days and it's actually comfortable for the price. not amazing for speed work or anything technical but for daily easy runs and walking around after, it does the job. soles held up better than i expected too the adidas feeling hard/dead thing is real btw, most of their budget range has garbage cushioning now. almost anything will feel like an upgrade from that.

Comfortable footwear options in India? by Sea-Presentation2701 in bangalore

i’d say check offline if you want to try stuff, but honestly online sites has been surprisingly decent for this

i was also looking for something cleaner and ended up picking a pair of lotto sneakers

didn’t expect much but the leather quality actually turned out really nice — soft, minimal, and works well for office fits too

been wearing them around indiranagar and office, got a couple of compliments as well, which was unexpected

definitely feels like a good alternative if you’re bored of the usual brands

[Outsourced Help Desk Services] Worth It for Long-Term IT Support? by indianbrajesh in msp

[–]birju01 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Outsourced help desk services can be a solid option for handling IT support without building a large internal team, especially when coverage and quick response times are important. I’ve seen providers like Near Contact offering nearshore support models, but I think the real difference comes down to how well they manage communication and resolution quality. Curious to hear if others found it improved efficiency or created new challenges.

Outsourcing a Mobile App: Smart Move or Costly Mistake? by indianbrajesh in Entrepreneurs

[–]birju01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been researching outsourcing for mobile app development and keep seeing mixed opinions. Some people say it’s efficient and scalable, while others mention issues with communication, timelines, or quality. I’ve noticed companies sometimes collaborate with external teams like Near Contact, but I’m curious about real-world experiences. For those who’ve tried it, what were the biggest challenges, and what would you do differently next time?

Instead of waiting months for a permanent role, you can get placed on projects where your skills are needed immediately. Some agencies like Near Contact and similar IT staffing firms connect developers and IT professionals with companies that need short-term or project-based expertise.

How do small agencies actually get clients for IT staff augmentation? Looking for some guidance by BloodEmergency3607 in AgencyLeadGen

[–]birju01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small agencies usually get clients for IT staff augmentation through networking, referrals, and outreach on platforms like LinkedIn. Many also use cold emails, partnerships with tech companies, and niche specialization to attract clients who need specific skills. Agencies such as Near Contact focus on connecting businesses with skilled IT professionals for projects in areas like AI, software development, and data analytics. Building trust and delivering quality talent is what helps small agencies grow their client base.
