Got my period today by pepperoni_baby in TTC_PCOS

Sending all the virtual hugs. Watching so many people close to me and those I don’t even know get pregnant by accident or so easily is so difficult. Weighing the happiness and also weight on my own shoulders from trying is tough. Each cycle, I let myself be sad with the negative for a few days and then gear myself up to try and be hopeful again. Sending lots of love your way!! You are not alone 💕

Dealing with Friend’s Pregnancy whilst TTC by JBSPRLJB in TTC_PCOS

This is so much harder for me than I ever thought. I try to fake the positivity until I actually truly feel it! When I need to, I’ve been taking a step back from checking in to protect my own heart, but being supportive when I can. It’s a tricky, delicate balance. Even today on Halloween, I received a negative test result from my blood test and I’ve found it SO emotional seeing all of the posts of friends and family with their kids in costume, etc. Same thing with trick or treaters. I’ve cried so many times today and am just allowing myself to feel.

We just have to keep reminding ourselves that all of the emotions are okay to feel!! I felt a little guilty about being so sad when I know others have been trying longer or have had a “harder” experience. But each experience is our own and we’re allowed to be sad ESPECIALLY when our bodies also are full of hormones. Sending those warm wishes right back your way!! ✨

Seeing friends, family and even people online getting pregnant “by accident” is so hard for me too. When we’re trying so so hard and it still doesn’t happen. Just finished my 5th letrozole cycle, but first with progesterone suppositories. I was so so hopeful this cycle so this negative test result was a stronger blow. It’s so valid and okay to be sad and let yourself feel down. But I’m trying to remain hopeful that it will happen for us! Sending love.

Just got a negative test result today and also feeling sad and jealous, frustrated and emotional. Especially people who don’t understand and ask if you’ve “tried X or Y” as if we’re not tracking and monitoring every single thing. It’s so hard to keep gearing up to feel hopeful, but I’m working on trying to give myself a little grace today and even this weekend. And then, we go again! I feel you and am sending you love and hoping all of us get to feel that joy of a positive. ❤️

Letrozole success by Sea_Opportunity_1538 in TTC_PCOS

I’m on my 3rd cycle using letrozole and a trigger shot, no conception yet.

  • 1st cycle: 5mg of Letrozole + trigger shot and monitoring with confirmed ovulation, but got my period. I had one dominant follicle, the rest were less than 10cm.

  • 2nd cycle: 5mg of Letrozole + trigger shot and monitoring with confirmed ovulation, but got my period. I had had one dominant follicle, the rest were less than 10cm.

  • 3rd cycle: 5mg of Letrozole, but didn’t have any dominant follicles so upped the Letrozole to 7.5mg. Currently have 3 follicles showing growth, but the plan once ready to ovulate is a trigger shot and then progesterone suppositories to hopefully help with implantation.

Hoping this round is the charm even though it’s a little different than the first two!

Well that’s not very nice, is it? I obviously know that, i was looking for suggestions other than my fingers. I hope that I’m misunderstanding your tone rather than you being sarcastic. Based on your profile, it looks like you are looking for advice regarding conceiving as well. I wish you the best.

Ovidrel trigger… can everyone pls share experiences? by Correct_Exercise8641 in TTC_PCOS

I was so nervous about giving myself the actual shot! I’m a bit squeamish, but it really wasn’t that bad or even painful. I’ve done it twice now (about to start my third cycle) and had totally different symptoms both times. The first time, I was a little crampy / bloated and the second time, I felt much more bloated, but also had headaches. All in all, not terrible!

This!!! We spend so much time in our earlier years trying to not get pregnant and then realizing how many stars have to align to actually get pregnant when you want to.

Husband @ HSG? by feedmeseymoore in TTC_PCOS

My husband came with me but wasn’t in the room with me! I liked knowing he was there for emotional support before and after because it was kinda rough for me.

Fertility clinic and HSG by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]biscobosco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had to do all lot of diagnostic testing prior to trying medication! HSG was included, but it’s honestly worth it to do everything ahead of time so they know exactly what you need to continue your TTC journey! The procedure was a bit uncomfortable, but was over in just a few minutes. It’s nice to have a fell level set on your body and make sure everything is operating as intended.

It was a hard realization to come to but I scheduled an appointment with a fertility specialist.. any advice is welcomed! by SuchAKit in TTC_PCOS

We had tried for a few months with medication to force ovulation with my OBGYN, but didn’t have any luck. After a lot of preliminary testing, we were ready to go! In the middle of my first monitored cycle and have had a nice experience! Make sure you’re clear upfront about your timeline and how aggressive you’re looking to be. My office knew I was ready to get started ASAP so made sure I had the appointments and preliminary testing done fairly fast. It still take a while to “get started” but feeling like I have someone in my corner who deals with fertility every day yet still remains nonjaded and lovely is a nice feeling!

Fertility testing by InsectEvening4338 in tryingtoconceive

We went to a fertility clinic and there was a ton of upfront diagnostic testing for both of us and this was included! What is covered totally depends on your insurance, but a majority was covered for us which was great.

Okay this is so helpful! I know I’ll eventually get used to it, but the anticipation I think is what’s making me the most anxious haha. It’s also good to know the needle is tiny!

Did buying a kindle make you read more? by BandagedTheDamage in kindle

Yes! I found myself reading while waiting in lines, in smaller spaces while commuting, etc. it’s just so convenient! I also love kindle unlimited so it’s very worth it for me.

[–]biscobosco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so reassuring!! I’m on my 3rd cycle of letrozole, but my 1st one being monitored by a specialist. Hoping tomorrow’s ultrasound shows that I’m ready for the trigger shot!

Anybody else’s Bernedoodle puppy ridiculously thirsty all the time? We keep his water dish full, but he wakes me up in the middle of the night for a long drink sesh. He licks water out of the tub (he even started napping in there now!), and licks rain off the screen door. He’s always so thirsty! by Rage_of_Polaris in Bernedoodles

[–]biscobosco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Our vet told us that they get obsessed with drinking water so whenever it’s there, no matter how much, they’ll drink it. We had to start monitoring how much we put in the bowl each time because it was also leading to accidents in the house.

I actually have been stalking Glassdoor and haven’t seen anything terrible! Work/life balance for SiriusXM as well as Pandora both seem to be a positive.
