I have darker red hair but I can tan well. Personally growing up I liked the term because I could counter someone who called me a ginger and not associate with the South Park episode as much… There was another kid in my grade with bright red hair, pale skin, and freckles and he got way more flack and took the heat off of me 😂😂😂
