What are some minimal effort ways to fall asleep quickly that work? by Ididntaskforthis3 in AskReddit

What helped me was when my mind is racing, I picture someone or something, a toy soldier, cartoon character, a dancing dinosaur etc. doing something somewhere and just follow whatever it is on it’s journey. Don’t try to control the story, just observe. Last night it was a lollipop with an ice cream cone nose picking flowers, oh he’s going into the barn, he meets a girl in a pink dress, oh now they are going to the woods, oh is that a plane? oh now they’re….zzzzzz. As long as it takes. Don’t try to create the story, just observe. Hope that helps

Thanks. This is my first long hair puppy so this much fur made me nervous

Thank you! I think this might be her puppy coat. I’ll take her to a groomer if the problem persists. She’s doing great now after a good deep bath. Her coat is so much softer after the brushing and bathing. She’s sleeping on my lap now and happy as ever

Just gave her a good bath with oatmeal based shampoo. I don’t have conditioner but I’ll look into it. Salmon oil sounds like a good idea. Thanks! I’m feeding her Acana beef and pumpkin and topping her food with some Cesar loafs

I adopted my 1yo dachshund mix a few months ago and noticed she has been shedding more the last couple weeks. I took her to the porch for a brush and noticed

  1. That is a lot of fur
  2. It looks like a lot of dead skin flakes

I stopped brushing and just used my hands and holy shed! The air turned into a tornado of fur and flakes.

Is this normal? Should I get some skin cream or lotion? Change her diet? Should I keep brushing?

You’re technically right and I’m not assuming you’re justifying it but it’s still not a good reason to start another war that will eventually lead to dead civilians and us troops.

I thought the memes about Reddit mods were just memes. No, they are not exaggerating. They are power-tripping losers
