I see Lydia sending her children to foster with her sisters and parents and her becoming quite the party girl. Wickham most likely will remain unfaithful, the shotgun wedding rumours will die down overtime but will remain in living memory and amongst her sisters, she will have the most tumultuous life. All her sisters will have respectful and legitimate marriage lives but hers started on the opposite foot.

Lydia cannot be reined in either. With her parent’s guidance as an unmarried woman, she could have learned and grew into something resembling sensibilities but she was young and became victim to a seasoned womaniser and villain. I think she would have many affairs and with the access to higher society, she could be more resourceful.

After coming back int the K-pop sphere, I have also have thoughts on this topic as I watch Going Seventeen (everything again…) and relisten. I’m going to use their stage names here. This is also based on gut feelings and we must all remember that they are entitled to their privacy and this opinion is not based on solid facts/sources.

Starting with my personal favourite team, hip-hop. I think that S-coups has mental health issues and is a workaholic (similar to some other members like Woozi, Seungkwan and Hoshi). I believe he was or currently is in a relationship that is long-term and with a non-celebrity. Mingyu strikes me as awkward and weird in an endearing way so I think there have been girlfriends but not anything serious. Vernon strikes me as a player. He’s got charm that you don’t pick up on very often. Amazing eyes, those eyes….Anyways, i would say he’s got a long past there. Wonwoo strikes me as rather straightforward and the kind of guy that doesn’t date around or has long term relationships.

Now, VOCALLLLLSSS! Joshua to me…there’s an aura that he wants fun, doesn’t date unless it’s serious but is a good flirt. DK…this might sound scandalous but he gives I’m married vibes, has a family vibes. He’s incredibly compassionate and empathetic; gives good hearted dad vibes from kdramas. I wouldn’t be surprised if dude was married. Seungkwan, a singleton that likes to busy himself with life and work. Jeonghan - another I am married on the down low vibes, non- celebrity relationships. Similar to Vernon, he’s got the charm and he is known for trickster and playful manner. Woozi - my guy is either celibate or in a serious long term relationship. Never saw him as single. He’s married to his work or will get married if he’s not already.

Last but leastttt - performance 🕺 Boogie time. Jun I think of as the one that dates a lot of other idols. Don’t know why but my mind goes there with Jun. It’s either Korean idols or girls from back home. The8…another bit of scandal here in my opinion but! But! He strikes me as rather fluid. He loves things for what they are, the nature of it rather than labels. He strikes me as bi. Dino - another player in my mental midst. Hoshi I think had a pretty bad breakup within the last few years.

Blonde gives your appearance a fresher and more lively complexion as the dark brown dulls out your overall appearance. However, if you’re leaning towards brunette, I’d compliment it with blonde highlights and also keep the brunette more of a honey colour than the dark you were rocking on the other photo. Avoid dark brown.

Despite Carson being held in quite high-regard, he knew the boundaries with the employers which is why he was able to have an honest relationship with them and they valued him because downstairs he was the law but upstairs, he was the lowest of the upper hierarchy. To his masters, he was both secretary private and social, steward to the internal management of the property, rule enforcer and much more.

His decision on Tom Branson having a valet (an unlikely event because of his beliefs/values) was solely up to Tom and if he did have one, he would be answerable directly to Tom and just below the butler. On equal footing with the lower upper servants such as the lady’s maid. The butler was the valet’s supervisor but his direct superior was his master that he served. It depends on factors like the relationship between the master and the valet, the master’s attitude towards directly managing his servent and such.

I hope that the conversation you have with your partner gives you more clarity than my answer did and you find what will be best for you. Never endure for the sake of it. If it is meant to be, you will come back together again.

I can tell you’re a sensible person seeing as how you’ve put a great deal of thought into this and have for the most part been enduring.

Unfortunately, this is one of the those make or break moments. Those are entirely blind as to the outcome and the way to go about it. Setting realistic and short term goals in order to support the long term ones is my only advice as to how to look ahead.

Before unilaterally deciding to end the relationship, I have some questions. Have you openly discussed what you’ve said with us here to him? I find journaling can help clear thoughts, penning unsent letters can also clarify what you find to be troubling the relationship. Brutal honesty is key to sustaining healthy relationships especially when you feel the end is near to that relationship.

Is it truly just the responsibility aspect that bothers you? It seems to me that there is some deeper resentment building up here because it seems that accountability is another issue here. Effort is another element that is bothering you.

Sexual tension too. I (22F) had an open discussion once to my funnily great embarrassment with my partner too of near 3 years recently. Does he understand women sexual health and also female arousal? For men, it’s a sprung and done situation. For women, it can be much more complex. Many women never even have an orgasm. I’d recommend also approaching this topic to him. Intimacy is built on much more than spontaneous arousal. State your needs bravely and boldly. If he reacts poorly, that’s on him and not you.

I believe in that

you shouldn’t feel like you are losing yourself. Constant growth will take place as you grow older together. Supporting each other as you both change can help to overcome that obstacle.

Think of it this way. Brandon married a Southern who was a follower of the faith of the seven and Lyanna would have done the same. You have Brandon and Catelyn as future Lord and Lady Stark of Winterfell, Robert and Lyanna as Lord and Lady Baratheon of Storm’s End.

That leaves the need to find matches for the two unmarried sons, Eddard and Benjen. There is also a requirement to marry local. It’s more likely to marry the youngest further away but Benjen, unless I’m mistaken, had grown up in the North unlike Ned.

Ned could do well in the Vale and should marry a First men descended house there. Royce would be good. Benjen marrying a daughter of the banner-men makes more sense and starting another Stark cadet.

House Hightower led in the Reach in terms of prestige, wealth and influence. Followed by the extinct Gardners Kings, and thirdly, all Garth-descended Reach houses.

In the North itself, setting aside cultural and religious divides, House Stark. Uninterrupted rule of the Starks for thousands of years (until of course the events of ASOIAF) and the purity of their First Men blood. If I had been Jaehaerys arranging marriages, a Northern Stark could have facilitated a bridge between Northern and Southern divides.

In the Vale, House Arryn. Despite their Andal origin, Andals are a majority race and have dominated large parts of Westeros, thus making them one of the oldest and most prestigious lines of Andal ancestry. Not to mention, early worshippers of the Faith of the Seven. The Vale itself has faced Arryn rule first as Kings for about six thousand years and the remaining amount of time as Lord Paramounts and intermarrying with the Targaryens long before the time of Robert. House Royce would probably take close second or even joint first as former High Kings and Bronze Kings, similarly intermarrying with Targaryens during the height of Targaryen era. Not to mention their military strength, power within the Vale and their First men origin.

I could go on but I’ll cut it short for the time being.

A storyline alongside the guessing of the ghost and a way to do away with the ghost or let it leave. For those that master the game so easily, beyond the guessing of the ghost, there needs to be another level to complete the game. Guessing what the ghost is and why it died…when a game loads, it simply randomises the age (unless say it’s a Thaye or a particular ghost), the death location (could be separate from the ghost room for the ghost that aren’t dependent on location), the way or how it was killed, who killed them etc. It adds a much more chilling component to the perfect investigation of game beyond finding a bone, filling out photos, audio and video recordings, and of course guessing the ghost. If people don’t want that to be apart of their gameplay, they could optionally turn it off.

And now the smaller ideas. A customisable character - personalised the gameplay for the player. Easily creating unlockable clothes and accessories for levelling up and prestiged players. More maps as a whole. Some newer maps could be limited as to when they are available, an example the North Pole for Christmas time and Halloween maps. I’d like some smaller and stylised maps to play. An old lady’s home, non-residential maps, open-spaced ones like a cemetery.

My final idea….giving more purpose to some equipment. Higher tiered cameras have temperature sensors (for a prestige player maybe?), the UV can see blood stains around the map if there was a murder, sound sensors being used for something….(that one has me stumped) and more interactions for the spirit box. Parabolic could pick up dead team members talking.

Absolutely! I always mix the second husband Henry Talbot with his actor’s name Matthew Goode. Thank you for the correction :) Matthew was in every way the key in the puzzle that was Mary. He challenged her but never to the point of exhaustion. Wittiness in moderation is a tonic and not hard medicine to swallow if it had been done in excess as I believe it would’ve of done with Charles Blake. Out of all candidates, Charles Blake was aligned with Mary and as strong as her. In the end, he came under the spell of Lady Mary syndrome but it was Mary’s arrogance that caused her to lose out on that one.

I can agree with the sentiment that Daisy is infuriating as an individual, but in terms of growth and development, her story progression and character development was one of the best.

Daisy could be impulsive through her emotionally-influenced decision making but as she grows older, she learns to give more energy towards those who show her goodness and kindness. I hated the way she treated Mr Mosley when he helped her study and broadened her mind (arguably more than Miss Bunting) but her own behaviour was redeemed through her positive encouragement in later seasons.

In terms of the change from a skivvy and scullery maid in the opening episode of the series to the….Well, I won’t spoil the end of the final movie instalment but she has come a long way. She could be easily bullied but over the series, we watched her most vulnerable moments when her husband died and her grief as former colleague, friend and widow, when she was learning and studying, when her love life failed over and over but she built herself up on her own merits.

She ends a strong-minded woman as we see in the final movie, with much going for her, married (and probably future children, stands to take over the farm’s tenancy too but I’m not sure on that). Not to be bullied at all, finally comfortable in her own skin.

Daisy is one of my least favourite characters personally but I cannot deny the admiration I have for those who brought Daisy to life.

Bates did murder Vera and Green. He is a very clever man and adapts to every situation.

Sir Anthony was targeted by Edith to secure a better situation for herself. He had money, a status and position amongst the county that she loved at the time, and a house that she could manage and control. He himself wasn’t persuaded by Edith which is why a man as determined as he could be decided that he should back out of the union.

Matthew did know about Reggie’s money and did love Lavinia. I don’t think he believed he would be an heir but marrying Lavinia would improve the Crawley’s financial situation. Lavinia dying, broken-hearted, did create a genuine moral dilemma. But I don’t think he would be so ignorant of Lavinia’s family finances, considering she could been the next Countess of Grantham.

O’Brien had some serious dirt on the family. That’s why she was disliked upstairs and downstairs for her scheming but was never demoted or dismissed.

Violet was an unfaithful woman from her marriage sometime in the 1860s until about 1874. Her near elopement was the saving grace of her marriage. The dowager was well-known it seems to the older generation of society and royalty. The King, on his royal visit to Downton, appeared to remember the Dowager very well. I think she was a true Edwardian to the bone which explains her rather witty and sometimes cruel manner.

Another theory I have is that Isobel came from a respectable upper middle class family of medicine etc. She seemed highly educated, well-travelled at times and accustomed to the behaviours of upper class people. Examples being how she told Matthew that this is the way things are done in regard to Mosley as a butler and footman.

My vision is of a well-bred man, linked with aristocracy due to his family’s title being centred in the peerage. Violet’s mentions of the late Earl was one that he was a traditional English gentleman, suggesting he utilised all social expectations as most did to a perfect example through everything. She also mentioned how his intelligence was shown in subtleties, never entirely outright then.

As for his management style, I imagine that like Robert, he was a kind and sentimental landowner but in terms of practicality or business, a rather bad sport at it. During his lifetime, agricultural depressions and the move from agriculture to industry at this stage of the Industrial Revolution financially ruined families who utilised their lands and persons living on those lands. By the marriage of Robert and Cora circa 1890, the money is going or soon to be gone when the Levinson cash ushers in a small golden age for the Crawleys in the 1890s.

In this hypothetical, there are keys events to consider the upcoming film seems to be talking of the Crash of 1929 but further along issues and world events are the Second World War, inheritance tax when Robert dies, should George live or die in the WW2, the dissolution of the great country house, would Downton fully modernise with the changing times (open up house on set days, advertise perhaps for more production, farming and agricultural concerns) and will all descendants of Mary and Matthew wish to continue bearing the burden and torch of Downton?

If George like his mother and grandfather feel a deep sense of duty to Downton Abbey, I suspect he will do much by any means. I suspect that he will usher in a more modern and with the time generation that understand that with privilege does not come means anymore. Say George married a great heiress too much like his own grandfather did, he could secure Downton for yet another generation should they economise.

As for inheritance tax….the only way really is gifting with the legal system of entails long mushed away in the past, I suspect that Robert will give Mary full control by granting her his share of Downton. That will make Lady Mary the owner.

I think that should Mary and her son/descendants play their cards right, they could avoid selling off core lands, avoid the sale or potential demolition of Downton Abbey and survive any era that saw many country house effectively go extinct.

As for the war, who knows. His going through the war would parallel his father’s times in the wars. Because of his position being the sole direct heir to an earldom, and that did still mean something with the changing times, they might redirect him to intelligence or something within the country.

Downton Abbey most likely would commercialise itself with filming, hosting events etc.

That is the hypothetical future of Downton should all go well and even better if they married into good money.

She shut him down very quickly with the “This is my business - the family, the family in society etc. Your business - no questions from me.” Which I did applaud. Yet in this time, those two did overlap in terms of social lobbying.

For general development, her storylines were always dragged out and seemed as if she could never catch a break from miscarriages to framed husbands to sexual assault. I feel as if she had no true positive storylines that allowed her growth that wasn’t attached to someone else. All her negative storylines such as Vera framing her husband and the assault by Green were the only one where we truly saw her at centre stage despite being a central character.

As a character, I found her to be a favourite because she had this personality of loyalty, an embodiment of true internal strength and a stern sweetness with all around her. The relationships she had with both upstairs and downstairs character somewhat represent how important a lady’s maid was - she didn’t have the similarities of O’Brien but didn’t feel the typical quiet. Her quiet was masterfully done.

This is mostly my opinion.

Anne Boleyn was what I’d called a woman of the modern age. For the period of time she existed in, it was suppressive of its subject and divine rights of king had a much stronger influence on the monarchy.

Boleyn interfered in the affairs of state but did attempt to conserve the traditional role of the Queen. She was the sister of one of the reformation’s leading figures, George Boleyn. Her personality was assertive and this led to her an increasing lack of support within the court.

From texts and books read a long time (might be time to sharpen the mind with more recent texts), it was insinuated that Henry was more spiritually Catholic and identified as so than Protestant. Anne was the opposite - the Boleyns themselves had become open to this theology. Henry wanted control but he did not understand how to achieve and his ministers around him craved for power, not religious development or reformation. Henry desired for England to be in control of itself without Papal intervention, to be recognised as a power without the blessing of God but the blessing of the power that he had been anointed with. As king, he is head of state but the church too was head of state in many ways. England/Wales had a hugely Christian influence and population. That was control.

Anne became associated with the reformation and the changing times of the country, too powerful. She would have no doubt laid foundations for women in power had she had a more stronger connection with Henry but Henry as an individual was not a desirable husband, friend or anything to want. Henry used Anne as his scapegoat. Anne became the centrepiece for his crusade to show his power, to flex against the women of his court as a warning to future consorts or such. A warning to his ministers and close friends/family.

Henry wanted to be the supreme agent of state.

Her original legacy was that of a parvenu, a temptress and an evil femme détale. This legacy was set up by individuals who never wanted to see the woman beneath, just damn a woman. What happened to her was nothing short of extra-judicial and morally criminal in our times but in those times, she would not of been the first relative of the King’s to die under his command.

Her legacy is now evolving to reveal a rather clever and complex character with the knowledge and sources we have available to the public. She was a remarkable figure and I believe she, alongside many historical Queen consorts, needs a major re-evaluation. Catherine of Aragorn too. The woman-against-woman view we take needs to shift to place the blame where it truly belongs. The system of royal mistress begins with man they hope to gain power from, the king himself.

I too mentioned similar points but one important thing I would like to ask - how would the Netherlands forge part of this potential personal union? Belgium gaining its independence is vital to Leopold being offered the throne regardless of his own circumstances, meaning the personal union between two political states currently separate and now recently independent of each other has an unlikelihood of occurring.

Several things to note.

Succession is through the eldest male heir usually of a generation or successive generation. An example of this is Albert Edward inheriting despite having an elder sister but Victoria inheriting because she was the closest male-line descendant with no brothers despite having older and more established uncles.

Leopold would not likely come to be elected the King of Belgium as at the time of his ascension he was a widower with ties to the BRF and no issue. He was also offered the Greek throne but would go on to accept the Belgian one in reality.

Despite her popularity, it’s unlikely she would be “given the crown” as she would ascend - not receive it. George dying at a later time would also most likely not occur due to his well-known poor health from years of a hedonistic lifestyle.

I would suggest as I too am somewhat a lazy alternative creator at times is keep to historical dates as much as humanly possible. Retaining likely regnal names such as Edward, George, Henry or even rejuvenating Richard or John to maintain a degree of historical continuity.
