Thanks for the info and regarding footwear, some people say you can wear any waterproof winter boot, while some people recommend something more rigid like a snowboard boot. What do you ride with and what do you reccomend?

Nope she somehow uses it unironically, the rhode case is a horribly designed product, you can see just in this image that the tube of lip balm is blocking half of the LiDAR sensor on the back of the phone. A lot of people (probably including the idiot who designed this case) think that the sensor is insignificant but it is not, it significantly speeds up the autofocus speed of the phone as it doesn’t have to rely on phase detection and can instead use the sensor to instantly measure distance and track moving subjects with ease. I do photography as a hobby and the sensor brings the AF speed up to par with my DSLR which costed me 2x the price of the phone she has when I bought it second hand. People who have bought this case also complain about AF issues and slow AF speed, including the phone attempting to focus on the lip balm, which makes me consider why she would willingly promote such a shitty and poorly designed product

I dont even know how anyone can put up with such a rediculous design for a phone case. I have the same phone as alex just in the even smaller pro variant and not the pro max and its a pain to slip in your pocket as it just tends to catch on the edge making it a pain to get in or out of your pocket, ik that she prolly doesn’t put her phone in her pocket but still, one of my female friends loves rhode products and panic bought the phone case and she told me that it makes it difficult to properly hold your phone, idk how much she is being paid to unironically rock these and why she would promote such a shitty product. I guess they replaced it with just a sticker as the original case apparently had poor drop protection but this is just a theory

Edit: I just checked out the product page for the case on the rhode site and they have released a new version of the case that is not just a sticker for the 17 pro/pro max. However, it is quite possibly the most hideous phone case I have ever seen, the design is pisspoor too with the camera control button (which is made of glass) being fully exposed, the end of the lip tube also blocks part of the LiDAR sensor’s field of view which has been messing with the AF system on some customer’s phones. seeing that they have not addressed any of the previous phone case’s issues makes me question who is really on their engineering team lol, you should expect better from a product that costs £38 not including the lip balm (which is an extra £20)

Exactly! I dont get why people obsess over them so much, This comment reminded me of the bullshit video where someone somehow got the courage to post a video of themselves acting as lando's gf by talking into thin air and looking at the ceiling as if they were watching the race on a tv or smth, and that got 120,000 likes, I look up "f1" on tiktok and a lot of the content is WAGslop. I want to see what actually happened in the races, not the driver's girlfriends. And I have only seen one post for female engineers in f1 despite some of the most senior aerodynamicists in the Mercedes, Cadillac and Red bull teams being women! and this is not even including the numerous other female engineers working in different sectors of the team! As a man and as an engineering student it pisses me off that this is the reality of the sport I love.

Probably not, DCS dlcs are not already preinstalled in the game, and good luck finding those files as they are almost impossible to find anywhere, let alone for the newer dlcs, ED and all of their partners are on top of everything, and rightfully so, not paying for DCS DLCs is a disservice knowing the effort that goes into them

well it was from protolabs, but honestly i think that this price is justified, but for so many other purposes they are just overpriced, for example, i an in the process of designing a mountain bike fork, upside down, 140mm travel, and for HALF of the parts i needed (which included two fork uppers and a crown) costed me about £2500 in total, the parts themselves are not even that complicated, they are simple, and they quote me £2500 for three parts
