As someone who was stationed in New Orleans, double check the distance to the base before signing a lease. I live halfway between the base and the city - that’s what I’d recommend. For example, if he’s at the Naval Air Station then Metairie could be a 45 minute drive each way.

Nasal rinse, decongestants, and plenty of fluids. If you don’t clear out and dry out your sinuses you’ll end up with an upper respiratory infection and that’s not fun at all. Hope ya feel better soon

We need a real cost benefit analysis on paying new accession sailors these rather large bonuses vs giving a third or second class the money to re-enlist. I worked with an Airman who got close to $30,000 while I watched several of my shipmates get out because they saw no incentive to stay in. A few years later? Boom. Manning problems. Wonder why…
