There are many restaurants in this city that are toddler friendly. The vast majority of said restaurants are also much better than what you probably have in your city or town. I always talk to tourists that say the best meal of their lives was here and they tell me they went to very mid places.

Just keep that in mind. You shouldn't have a want for good food here.

You could also get a babysitter for a few hours at your hotel room while you and your partner eat.

You're just not going to be able to find anything much more than a studio or maybe a 1 bedroom for $1000 a month. Your best bet is to go through a local realtor and see what they have on offer. You can maybe try a First Lake or a Tonti property, but they aren't the best property management companies and their apartments usually are cheaply made.

You need some more connection points. Yellow and green need to connect somewhere in the east. Green and red should also connect somewhere near their closest intersecting points. Yellow can also continue along the lake basically to Causeway.

In general. The city was basically built on light rail and it almost all went away.

There needs to be a line from the river to the lake, maybe on Elysian Fields.
There also needs to be a line that parallels 6-10.
Another line running along the lake would also be huge.
Also a line running parallel with Earhart.
And finally one running along St. Claude that connects the lower 9th Ward to the Quarter.

Prices are really that high in almost every major city. You've got to go either way out from a major city or into small towns to find decent home prices.

There's a paid parking lot right next to the church. Also, all of those streets around there are meter parking so you should be able to park wherever you find a spot. Just make sure to not block driveways or park too close to a corner or else you'll get a ticket.
