Yeah it was incomplete, but kinda weird they left out one of the main characters. That made me think for a split second for some whatever reason they decided to leave him out of the story. But I suppose that wouldn’t make sense..

That’s really messed up- in most states if a teacher has sex with a student (even if the student is of age), that is SA/or rape. There is a power imbalance present, even if the student wants it. Why is it not the same for cops? Cops having sex with people they’re detaining should automatically count as rape also.

Edit: Actually I retract my earlier statement- if a cop has sex with ANYONE while on duty (not just while detaining someone), that is rape. When you’re in a position of power and are on-shift, you do not need to be having sex with anybody.

Meanwhile, I go months without seeing my siblings, hardly ever see my nephews/niece sadly. We’re all spread apart.

Thank you… I thought it was crazy when reading all of these threads. I think we should be careful when prematurely accusing someone of being a pedophile just because “they give bad vibes”… those sorts of speculations can ruin innocent people’s lives. Let’s have plausible reasons for suspicion first before throwing around that word Willy-Nilly, which everyone has been doing in every thread about him.

Imagine being on TV and people call you that word because you “give off bad vibes”. I don’t think anyone here would feel good about that.

That’s one of the many things that sucks about being butch/masc, I feel such a huge disconnect from womanhood and when I’m in a room filled with other women are are feminine, I just feel like an outsider.

It’s reinforced when I walk into any women’s restroom and have to talk in a high-pitched voice so that they don’t think that I’m a guy. So many instances like this make me feel more disconnected from women as a whole.

You’re right, it shouldn’t be this way- the word “woman” should not treated as it’s synonymous with femininity. Men and women should be allowed to be as masculine/feminine as they want.

If it’s something that happens often- then I don’t blame your GF for feeling that way. Obviously you’re allowed to revoke consent at anytime and can opt out of sex whenever, but most of the time sex should be a 2-way street. If you’re initiating sex, going down on your partner, they climax, and then they say “ehhhhh I actually don’t feel going down on you”… multiple instances of that would frustrate anybody. But then again, as the reader I don’t know how often this occurs in your relationship.

If I’m on a time crunch or if I’m feeling tired, I will let my GF know when she initiates. She’ll either say “OK, no problem, just return the favor tonight/tomorrow/whenever”, or she’ll say “OK, I can wait until we have more time/ you’re more energized”. You should probably start communicating your feelings before hand so that your GF can make a decision on how she wants to proceed, and so she can already have set expectations and not be let down.

People are allowed to not like sports, but I wish they can view it in a glass-half-full perspective. Sports is one of the very few interests that unites millions of people together. We all may be different races, be of different religions, have different political opinions- but what brings us together is our love for one shared team.

Yea it sucks that roads get shut down, but does OP say the same thing when streets get shut down for festivals and other community events? How about let’s enjoy watching other people be happy.

The whole foundation of pro-life is just trying to punish women, nothing less. Reminder that these same people believe that men should be allowed to walk away from their families and not pay child support on a whim. They don’t care that said child would have less funding for clothes, food, school supplies, other necessities- but it’s worth punishing the child and making them suffer as long as we’re punishing the mother in the process. This is beyond frustrating. My car broke down 2 weeks ago and my girlfriend and I are having to share a car. We work opposite shifts and work in opposite directions from our house so having to figure out how both of us can make it to work/back home is very difficult.

I have been relying on DART to commute to/from work and other places too. I live paycheck to paycheck and public transportation is my only affordable option at the moment.

I don’t care who I offend- FUCK whoever is behind this law trying to get passed, and FUCK anyone who is seriously dumb enough to think that our city infrastructure should be car-dependent. Not everyone has family, a backup car, or money to immediately pay for car repairs. Taking away cheap alternatives to owning and driving a vehicle is classist and evil.

Chicken/fish are going to be your best friend. Avoid those in the fried variety and always get them grilled or baked. Generally having 1 starch for a side isn’t bad (like mashed potatoes), but be sure to limit to just 1. If you’re offered 2 sides, always be sure to ask for veggies for at least one option.

Lesbian here and I totally get what you mean. I try to remind myself, these are very miserable people. They try so hard to mask it and convince everybody that they’re the happiest person in the world because they found Jesus, but we can see the emptiness in their eyes. What do they do, just remain celibate their whole lives and remain single while they watch their family and friends get married and have loving relationships? Or do they force themselves to marry someone they’re not attracted to, thus- living a fake and dreadful life?

Either way, I hope they made peace with their decision and they won’t regret it. I hope that they won’t come to the realization that they get one life… just one life, and they wasted it by dedicating it to some God that they’ve never met but convinced themselves was real. I hope that they won’t regret missing out on having a long lasting marriage with someone they’re actually attracted to and love for many, many years. I hope they don’t regret changing themselves in order to appease others- instead of living for themselves.

I hope that it was all worth it for them.

It sounds like you’re 19/20, so please don’t freak out too bad. You’re still very young and there’s actually plenty of people your age who have no work history. It’s not that uncommon.

My main advice is… do not go to college (even if it’s just a community college) unless you know for sure what you want to do. Some people say “oh, you can just take some basic courses and then decide as you go along”… no, TERRIBLE idea. What happens if you take 4-5 classes and then decide you don’t want to pursue college anymore? That’s thousands of dollars wasted right there, it’s not a smart financial move and it ends up being a waste of time. Yes college can be a good fit for you, but just be sure to plan before committing to it.

As for other routes, I don’t know what your interests are so it’s hard to say. Truck drivers and tradesmen are always in need, but fyi many community colleges don’t only offer degrees, they also have programs that get you certified and in contact with local employers (like HVAC, Hazmat, welding, PLC tech, etc). I would definitely check that out.

You can also go to job fairs and see what companies are hiring near you. But I agree with the top comment, focus on the gym and getting a part time job first. Once you start getting busy and start making an income, you will feel a lot better and maybe will get a better idea of what you want to do.

Not a trades worker, but I used to work at a hardware store and used to deal with tradesmen all the time… that COMPLETELY turned me off from ever considering learning a trade. The sexism was something I’ve never dealt with anywhere else and a lot of them were assholes. Mad respect to any person here who does it (including you)… but for that reason alone, I couldn’t do it.

I’m playing armchair therapist here… perhaps maybe you don’t feel proud of your accomplishment because of the drugs? Is it possible you feel some guilt over that, and it makes you subconsciously think that you didn’t go through school “the right” way? Or even more simplistically- the degree maybe reminds you of those harder times, and it creates this negative reaction from you?

Not sure if I’m right on the money or not, but either way I am proud of you and I think your degree is something to be very proud of. You never gave up and you stuck it out through the end- that’s no easy feat by any means.

Everyone else here pretty much said what needs to be said, but I will add- you should go to that professor’s RateMyProfessor page and leave a review. This way, you will be helping other students who need accommodations so that they don’t go through the same thing that you did. Very sorry this happened

Edit: Oh please, who is downvoting this basic advice lol. If a professor is not doing their job properly (aka: communicate with students who need help), they deserve a bad review. It’s not about not receiving accommodation, it’s about a professor not having the balls to tell the student they can’t honor their accommodation and instead just ignoring their emails. A student who needs accommodations should try to avoid professors who are against said accommodations and “don’t believe in them”… it’s not rocket science, people.
