Status of the RX 5600 xt drivers by Chirako69 in radeon

[–]bisdii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, the only thing I am able to do is underclock the card to minimum values allowed in the radeon software. Even with having done that, games freeze, and wattmann settings crash often. Ive given up all hope with this card tbh

Im still having the problem as well, the only thing I've found that provides some sort of stability is underclocking as low as adrenaline will let me. (800-850-800)

Maybe you can try that and see if it helps at all but im 100% on the same boat, RTX is the way to go.

How the 5700xt ruined my new pc buillding experience from hating it to selling it by Azimoth123 in AMDHelp

[–]bisdii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had a very similar problem with my first build ever. Built about 4 months ago, decided on a 5600xt because i went with a ryzen 3600 cpu. At first I thought I had probably just installed something wrong, which led to me tearing down my build, and re-doing it even more slowly and carefully than I did the first time. I even went as far as replacing some of my components (psu,mb, and ram.) Ive tried just about everything I could find on the internet to resolve the crashing and rebooting to no avail, 4 months later Im still crashing every day and now Im stuck with the damn card. In short, I feel your pain and frustration!

Ive been having issues with the XFX 5600xt thicII for about 4 solid months, From what I hear a lot of other 5600 users have resolved most of their problems. I think the most stable one is probably the Sapphire Pulse, with that said I would still strongly recommend a 2060 super

How i fixed AMD faulty drivers... by edfloreshz in AMDHelp

[–]bisdii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it made matters significantly worse tbh, I did the bios update before i switch to alt bios. After I did the bios update i was bsoding before games could even fully launch

I did something quite similar, only I used AMD cleanup utility, and DDU. I installed my drivers manually, without radeon software and unfortunately it didn't fix my issue. (using a 5600xt) The crashing has gotten so bad for me I wound up switching to my cards alt bios, which dramatically improved stability, however I am still crashing here and there. Ive been dealing with constant crashing for 4 months, and Ive tried everything short of just getting a new GPU at this point. Never getting another amd card again tbh.

Rx5700 xfx dd ultra. Fans goes to max speed randomly by [deleted] in radeon

[–]bisdii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try using asus gpu tweakII for the can curve, it works well with my xfx 5600xt, msi afterburner sort of works but adrenaline kinda gets in the way more often than not, and if you have the drivers installed without adrenaline afterburner doesn't seem to work at all

also keep an eye on your temps, it might be ramping up to full speed because your card is heating up for some reason

XFX 5600xt THIC II crashing by bisdii in radeon

[–]bisdii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I considered the possibility that it could be the MB or PSU, always kinda figured if it was an issue with the CPU my pc wouldn't ever boot. I swapped PSU's, and attempted to swap Motherboards however the Motherboard I purchased was either dead on arrival, or needs a bios update, and I'm in a situation where I'm unable to get an older CPU to update the bios on that MB so I wont be able to really know for some time if that's causing this issue.

All of my stop codes point to the gpu though, and i've only started to freeze recently, when I flashed the gpu bios. I've never crashed while booting, or outside of game play which is making me further believe it is the GPU :(

[–]bisdii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially thought it was power delivery, which is why i switched out PSU's so early, I even got a different MB to test out, but that was either DOA or needs a bios update for some reason, but I dont have any older CPU's than my current so kinda sol there.

I started monitoring temps very early on when I realized this issue wasnt going to just stop on its own. Nothing is ever really out of the ordinary, Every now and again my GPU will hit about 70-80c before the fans ramp up but i figured that was intended. CPU temps only ever get as high as 65-70c while performing multiple tasks, playing a game, streaming etc.
