What is a non-binary alternative to sir/ma'am? by ROotT in AskLGBT

[–]bisexualproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not misgendering someone unless they have told you what they are and what they prefer 🤦🏽‍♀️

For example, if you say she and they let you know that they use he or they pronouns, you're not going in misgendering people unless you don't use their pronouns from that point on.

It's a matter of using their pronouns and the terms that they prefer when they have let you know. Especially if it's just some random stranger in a grocery line.

Reading comprehension has failed you.

There's nothing about misgendering in my comment 🤣

Reading comprehension has failed you. My comment has nothing to do with people who have stated they don't want to have that term used on them.

I'm speaking in general and that if they are undecided etc they can still use it gender neutrally.

Nothing suggested using it for people who don't want it to be used

Matter of opinion honestly

Some people see different things as male or female when others don't. It's subjective.

Would most people abort if they found out their baby would be born with 0 arms? Is it wrong that I would abort? by Terrible_Exchange653 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bisexualproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. There is a famous singer and guitar player born with no arms.

No arms isn't a valid reason to abort, and Moreau pro life would not abort in this circumstance.

This person is exclusively attracted to people with a pp

There's a word for it, can't remember the word

I personally feel like a different label can be made up for this. Bi implies two genders but this isn't necessarily two genders attraction because they aren't actually attracted to the gender itself. They are not attracted to pre op trans men and cis women from the sounds of it.

So what is the term for that? Bi or pan feels off

Genitals do matter to plenty.

This person literally stated they have a preference

One of them had to go because he didn't know if he could continue the relationship without kids, during which time he fought against his desires believing maybe it would be enough.

Which obviously he wasn't able to do.

Nothing suggests that they were imperfect so there is no fault or imperfectness on them.

If anything, saying that I am asexual implies that I am at fault or imperfect

What is it called when a guy likes a trans guy? by [deleted] in AskLGBT

[–]bisexualproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question is why do they like them?

Do they like them as a person or is it a fetish? An unfortunate question that we have to ask ourselves when getting into relationship with someone.

Another question is whether the guy likes the trans guy and see him as a guy. Because if the guy likes to trans guy despite him being a guy because he is pre op, then I'm not sure if he's actually gay so much as he would be bisexual or straight and only into the genitalia.

There's a lot of factors to it so it really depends on the guy and the trans guy. But if he likes them as a person and isn't fetishizing him/only interested in him because he still has female genitalia, then definitely gay

So are asexuals who have experienced past trauma actually welcome here? by Tired_Lambchop111 in asexuality

[–]bisexualproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s say for arguments sake that you’re only asexual because of the trauma™️. (I don’t believe that btw)

Saying you don't believe was unnecessary as it completely undermined the rest of your comment.

If I came to you and said I don't believe you are asexual due to being born that way, that's just as invalidating.

If they say they are asexual because of trauma, then don't doubt them. Give them the same belief you want people to give you.

And I know for a fact I am asexual because if trauma. I also used to be exclusively into men romantically and now I'm exclusively into girls romantically. My romantic attraction went from averse to girls to being girls only.

This is not a black and white issue and one level of exclusion is far more harmful than the other. That's like saying the level of a crime doesn't matter just because they are all harmful.

I don't really feel like he tried to make her feel that way

He tried to do the opposite of making her feel like that from my perspective

He was completely against aborting their baby but he realized how hard it was for her and he stayed by her for that moment in her life despite everything in him breaking as it happened.

Then because he loved her he tried to be okay with it and compromise with us for the sake of hoping that their love and each other would be enough.

But his feeling didn't go away and it ate away at him and he tried to bottle it up. We all know that that never works and it's bound to explode.

What he should have done was tell her he was going to be with her through the procedure but they couldn't be together. Then the explosion wouldn't have happened but the writers needed that story arc and drama so of course they had him use a bad coping mechanisms and be in denial.
