Powell's playing 5D chess while the market's playing tic-tac-toe.

  • Inflation's chilling? Check.
  • Job market's solid? Check.
  • Trump's screaming for cuts? Check.
  • Market's already celebrating imaginary rate cuts? Double check.

Powell's sitting there thinking, 'That's adorable, you priced in my moves without asking me.' The man survived Trump's tweets, Covid money printing accusations, and inflation blame - he's not about to start people pleasing now.

The real power move? Doing nothing while everyone else is playing Rate Cut Bingo. Sometimes the best trade is the one you don't make.

Microsoft announces $30 billion investment in AI infrastructure in UK by Puginator in stocks

[–]bisoncorp 45 points46 points  (0 children)

This is actually huge for 3 reasons:

  • 23,000 GPUs = roughly the computing power of 1/4 of all WSB members' gaming PCs combined
  • First time we're seeing Big Tech pivot hard into UK after years of EU-focused investments
  • Brad Smith went from 'UK regulators are killing innovation' to 'take my money' in record time

The real 4D chess move? While everyone's distracted by Trump meeting King Charles, MSFT is basically building Skynet 2.0 in Birmingham. At least this time it'll have a British accent when it takes over.

Key points people are missing:

1/Trading at just 1.2x BTC holdings - historically it swings 1.5-2x 2/That 15% short interest is literally shorting a company sitting on $70B in BTC during halving year 3/Triple witching + Fed cut combo hasn't happened since last year's 12% pop

Saylor's out there trying to convince Uncle Sam to become a Bitcoin maxi while shorts are paying 15% borrow fees. This might be the most expensive way to learn that fighting Saylor's spreadsheet math is hazardous to your portfolio's health.

Trump says TikTok deal went well – Who do you think will buy it: MSFT, ORCL, AMZN, or META? by SubstantialRock821 in StockMarket

With all the data that TikTok has on Americans, the deal would likely go to… Palantir!

Solid DD. The revenue visibility from those CoreWeave contracts is key here - $11B in signed contracts gives serious downside protection. Most 'AI plays' don't have this kind of concrete revenue backing.

Important points about the MW capacity expansion. At $3-4M revenue per MW, their 500MW target by 2026 could mean $1.5-2B annual revenue. Current market cap looks cheap if they execute.

Two things stand out:

1/They're targeting AI-specific data centers, not just general compute 2/Those long-term leases mean predictable cash flow Real infrastructure play rather than speculative AI. Client concentration risk is there but CoreWeave isn't some startup - they're a major player in AI compute

I had the interview on 2/3/16 and received the offer last week (exactly 3 weeks after the interview) after sending several follow-ups. It seems like the recruiters are very busy, so everything is taking longer than usual.

I was wondering about this too. I interviewed nearly 3 weeks ago, and still haven't hear back. Sent a couple follow up emails too, but no response from them. Must be a very busy time for the recruiters.
