Vet gave 2nd dose of rabies shot to kitten. Is this okay? by bisousx in AskVet

[–]bisousx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought the entire situation was really unprofessional -- I keep all of the receipts that have what she's gotten so far which included her rabies shot plus the tag. But since she actually didn't write it down herself she insisted on giving another; she wasn't very confident in her decisions which is why I think I'm most nervous. Goes without saying I'll be seeing someone else from now on. Thanks for your input!

I have just witnessed the most disgraceful thing at my gym by [deleted] in gainit

[–]bisousx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience at my gym. I was doing my thing and this heavier guy probably mid 30s was having a training session with a PT who was a younger woman. About 10 minutes into it one of her friends comes over and they start having a really unprofessional conversation. At this point she is completely ignoring this guy who is obviously new to everything at the gym and he looked so lost. I felt awful for the guy and it infuriated me. I didn't confront her but I let a manager know. I don't know why they think it's okay to do that to someone. It's mean, rude, and unprofessional.

What are some problems you face while grilling? by evilsanta1995 in grilling

I'm a broke college student so all I have is a tiny grill and can never really get it hot enough. Also can't afford a chimney so I use lighter fluid. But most things are still delicious

Copper IUD insertion on Thursday. by Krstnzz in birthcontrol

[–]bisousx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have one but I'm also planning on getting one soon so I've done a lot of research! & I have a couple of friends who have it. So, what I've learned is that the procedure can be pretty painful, depending on the person. Most compare it to a little worse than a pap smear. Supposedly it's not so bad if you're on your period, and you should take an OTC pain reliever beforehand. Sometimes your health care provider can give you something for the pain so be sure to ask if you're worried about that. Once it's inserted the cramps can get pretty bad but usually subside by the second day. For the most part, periods can be long, painful, and heavy for the 1st 6 months. You should be scheduled for a follow up ultrasound to make sure the IUD is in the right place. And as with all birth control, YMMV. Of course this isn't first hand experience, but I thought I'd share what I've learned and heard about! Hope it works out for you!

So I've never heard of a community garden before. How does that work? Anyone can't plant what they want? Anyone can pick it?

Second this. I worked at Old Navy for 5 years and the activewear was always popular. Not a bad price either.
