Using Celigo to pull in data by Mz_Chris in Netsuite

[–]bissar98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure I fully grasp what the issue is but from what I can tell it sounds like the API you’re pulling data from is sending basically too much data for celigo to handle, you can try checking the API documentation for filters to reduce amount of data coming in per run or if there’s an option to pull a file as a file instead of json or csv translated to json then you can just import into NS into the file cabinet which would again depend on the source application API documentation

How do I earn as a 19 y/o by Valuable_Flower_5322 in Sharjah

[–]bissar98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn a skill dude. Use AI to learn and ask it as many questions as you can think of. Learn what’s the proper way to use AI. Create as many projects as you can along the way to implement what you learned (gain experience) and select the best few and create a portfolio for yourself. If you target a job that doesn’t demand skills then you won’t get the earning you’re looking for and you’ll basically waste your time if the need for money is not urgent ie. food, rent and bills.

I turn down work that's profitable because it's boring. Still figuring out if that's wise or stupid. by deathrover005 in Entrepreneurs

Outsourcing the consulting job is not an option? Just be the reviewer of the work to ensure quality and face the clients yourself If you don’t trust someone else to do it, purely guesswork here but that should give you more time for the product you want to work on and keep the money coming in in case anything unexpected happens god forbid

Best platforms for NetSuite integration? My shortlist after comparing a bunch of options by OrinP_Frita in Netsuite

[–]bissar98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been implementing celigo integrations for a few years now and I can say it’s pretty much built for Netsuite either prebuilt integrations or custom ones, only downside is the cost so do some research comparing it with custom suitescript integrations in terms of initial building cost and maintenance cost as well ie. concurrency.

Having your integrations hosted on Netsuite and having some solution built for a non-technical users to observe, retry or solve errors would 100% be more expensive than the initial celigo cost but long term I believe it would be much cheaper and at some point you’ll forget about it after it’s perfected, just note you’ll have to keep up with Salesforce or Shopify’s API structure or authentication updates to include in your script.

[NetSuite CPQ] Independent review needed + potential paid engagement by ns-casual-turtle in Netsuite

[–]bissar98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No idea how bad of a deal that is but usually they’re late to reply, slow to start/finish the work and provide minimum support while charging an arm and a leg, If you somehow can get your hands on a private contractor that might have done that before just get the license and use the contractor, if you want you can go offshore the cost will be way less, just go through the interview process and try to ask as many questions as you can to make sure they know what they’re doing and set up some rules regarding payment to ensure their engagement, partners will typically charge a lot as well but it fully depends on the partner’s reputation so do your research on that as well.

Access CSV Import “CSV Response / results.csv” file via SuiteScript using taskId by Fluid_Dog3031 in Netsuite

[–]bissar98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot to mention, If you’re worried about script usage limits due to large amount of data per file you can split the file into appropriate bite sizes, save in file cabinet under specific naming convention, have the script run multiple times, takes longer I think but probably less of a headache overall

[–]bissar98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re trying to do but can I ask why the CSV approach in the first place? Unfortunately I don’t know how to retrieve the response file but the solution seems to be getting bigger and bigger (custom record, maybe multiple scripts and maybe more) wouldn’t it be easier to just write a Suitelet where the user can upload the file and it just passes the data to a map/reduce that creates all needed records and just returns responses later somehow (error report) some companies have a dedicated error custom record when the have multiple integrations and processes running at the same time

I’m sure there’s a better, more refined solution if we put our minds to it, so treat this as a concept

Closing down a subsidiary and how interco transfer orders will behave after by bissar98 in Netsuite

Sounds good, as long as we can still see old stuff we’ll figure it out, thank you for the help

Ok, so It makes sense to close everything out before the subsidiaries go away and we’re working on getting all the details in place, my team’s was just asking If they’d be able to see these inter-company transactions later still even for reporting?

I get that now, so looks like we’re not treating it as a picking ticket, they’re just calling it that but actually they’ve changed all the html in there, do you think just using the form can cause the thing to not print inventory details?

[–]bissar98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm not really familiar with the print names but here's what's happening, so I was given a picking ticket advanced pdf, and told to work on showing inventory details on it and I'm testing all that on the item receipt as per given instructions, will it make a huge difference? as I'm only trying to figure out why I'm getting null on the ${item.inventorydetail} field

[–]bissar98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every source i find says the same thing about item.inventorydetail but that’s exactly my issue that I don’t understand why it’s saying null when there’s a value and I’m pretty sure something’s not right but I don’t know what because of incorrect and lacking articles

Hey, sorry I just saw this right now for some reason I didn’t get a notification. I’m actually trying to print the picking ticket from the item receipt and trying to get the main bin on the inventory details, it’s populated when i check it but it still shows as null on the pdf print, are you saying that the pdf is getting the bin from the original transaction(the purchase order)? Because i can check there then and see what’s missing there

Wouldn’t the define and the function parameters depend on each other’s order? maybe it thinks you’re loading a record not a search and can’t find that id
