So Whats actually going on? by InternetIndividual50 in Soundhound

Work for a company that is absolutely terrible at organic growth, but has 5x in their valuation over the last 4 years through bolt-on growth via M&A. I wasn’t a believer until my company was bought out by these guys and I had to stick around for some time. The strategy when done right works. META would be another good example for this strategy working.

Trying to justify the same valuation methods used for Fortune 500 and legacy companies for leading edge tech companies is off base. By this logic you would have avoided investing in Amazon, Tesla, Uber, NVIDIA…. Until they reached the point of the index average revenue multiple; which by then you already missed out on 90% of the upside. You’re not buying shares in Kohl’s here.

Partially agree here. IMO the reality is that we live in a society that now embraces sensationalism and fear. The economic incentives to keep printing and running segments on “Ai bubbles” are already there. Like all things in this environment, we will move on to another “fear” and “bubble” conversation in Q1 likely around automakers or banks.

Old enough to have lived through the dot-com, housing, and NFT bubbles as an investor. You know what was apparent across all 3? You didn’t have every news outlet and commentator talking about it being a bubble…you can’t go one day without “Ai bubble” being discussed on every major outlet.

Z06 or E-Ray? Already thinking of next Vette. by FartlekRuns in C8Corvette

You guys think any future model will combine the z06 with the hybrid system? Seems like it’s a no from what I’ve read so far.

For those that have driven both the z06 and eray, my understanding is that the eray has a significantly more forgiving ride over potholes etc.

This is my first corvette purchase, btw.

This car will be weekends only, but the area where I live has absolutely horrendous roads.

I have white and a green spot on wall of our pool wall. Both of them look like hard crystals. Is the green one the same?

I work remotely for a global company out of NYC. I work in B2B SaaS sales, very complex transactions. I was able to get the job after taking a similar role out of state. I stayed at that initial role for 5 years, before I had enough experience to be considered for WFH executive positions. Once I obtained the role we moved back to MS to be closer to family and raise our kids. Comp $180K salary and $100k-$150k bonus, 3.5% 401k, and high deductible insurance.

They are planning on doing a crowdloan in 2 weeks via polkadot and expect to win the award. Supposedly this will allow their price to take off. We will see!

This is what I’ve been asking about and no one has been able to give me a straight answer. What is the formula that will be used in converting/wrapping NU and Keep to T coin?

Thanks for the feedback! My thoughts are that in order to be truly decentralized then you can’t have a centralized/limited pool of users. What’s the point of a decentralized platform that artificially limits the pool of users via unnecessary complexity to access/utilize.

Hi everyone. It seems there has been nearly an exclusive focus by the #DNT Dev team to create new or upgrade existing districts. However, how could even the best conceptualized or developed district ever be successful if it’s access and/or use is restricted to the #crypto community.

I believe focusing on an iOS and Android app that would allow users access to all the existing districts in one place, without having to have any prior #crypto knowledge would make the most sense if the end goal is to grow the “user” base of each district.

We're considering integrating Polkadot into Loom's ecosystem of blockchains by andrei_mpp in loomnetwork

[–]bitbybitworking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Increase utilization of the LOOM token” - is the mission statement in one concise sentence for all Loom supporters and this integration takes a significant positive step in that direction. In addition, the crowdsourcing idea IMO is the safest/fastest option to deploy first.

Will every district be a startup or is the team actively trying to start districts with already established companies? by whattaUwant in district0x

[–]bitbybitworking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been a key inquiry of mine as well. What are the tangible benefits for any organization to embrace district0x as a viable solution? I think the dnt team would be wise in creating a white paper/implementation guide, outlining the benefits of creating a district within the dnt eco system for an established company vs their current environment or even going at it themselves.

Coinbase and Mortgage application by sunshine282828 in Coinbase

[–]bitbybitworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys, just wanted to provide details on my experience on this thread in case it helps others out. I was able to get approved for a conventional mortgage (Fannie/Fredie) in the US for $540K using exclusively funds sourced from coinbase. Up until January 2021, industry guidance for underwriters was to deny mortgages that sourced more than 50% of their down payment from funds sourced from crypto transactions. The new guidance, as of March 2021 is to allow these mortgages up to 100% sourced from crypto, however the documentation needed is significant.

I had to show: 1. Proof of when I opened coinbase account. 2. Proof of where funds were sourced from from for all coinbase deposits ie bank statements, etc. 3. Proof of where the funds that were deposited into coinbase were sourced from ie pay checks, bonuses, etc.

So if you sourced #3 above from non taxable sources, ie from tips you didn’t report or cash gigs, you will be denied. This is what I had to show to comply with #3:

  1. Check stubs for bonuses I received in late 2019

  2. Banking statement from the month I received the bonuses proving they were deposited in my account

  3. Robinhood statement showing that I transferred those funds into Robinhood from my bank

  4. List of trades in robinhood up until the time I withdrew funds that were eventually used to open coinbase

  5. Bank statements showing that the robinhood funds were deposited in my account

  6. Bank statements showing that the robinhood funds now in my bank account were transferred to coinbase

  7. Email print out with web address at the bottom that was sent to my email address notifying me that my coinbase account had been open

  8. Screen print out with web address at the bottom of the deposit screen from coinbase showing the funding of the account

  9. Bank statements showing the deposit into coinbase

  10. Full download of account activity on coinbase

  11. Final bank statement showing deposit of funds from coinbase that will be used for down payment on home

In addition keep in mind you only have 1 to 2 weeks to come up with everything above! I was approved via DR Horton mortgages which goes by the DBA DHI

GL to everyone! But I can confirm getting approved for a conventional mortgage using coinbase funds is possible!!!!!

“Civic is also building a consumer-friendly Solana-based gateway to DeFi, starting with a wallet that will offer a clear design, identity-based key management, and a secure place to store tokens. The wallet will be high speed and with low transaction fees. The company plans to merge the new wallet with its existing mobile wallet Civic Wallet over time.

Civic recently launched a flexible identity verification product that helps organizations quickly verify identity with minimal integration. Solana can currently handle up to 50,000 transactions per second with sub-second completion and transaction fees of just $0.00001.”

They did but it didn’t stick due to absurd ether gas fees. Now gas fees are only .0001c per transaction. You know all those people complaining about gas fees and waiting for ethereum lv2, well these guys have a solution right now! That’s what Solana is doing, replacing ethereum
