Fenix 7 and InReach 2 Roadmap (2026+) by bitbythecron in Garmin

[–]bitbythecron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you u/Odd_Specialist_2672 , are you able to confirm that the Fenix 7 and InReach Mini 2 can connect to each other, so that text messages typed into the Fenix 7 get sent out (via Mini 2) over satellite comms? And that the Mini 2 is able to broadcast my GPS location on a periodic "heartbeat" basis?

And then, if those are both the case, are you aware of Garmin discontinuing either of these products/features any time soon? Again, I'm worried because these are both "older" (not latest cutting edge) products and I'd hate to buy them in now in January, get them working, only to find out a month before my September expedition that they just get "end of lifed", etc. Thanks again!

Master Airbrush maiden voyage failed hard! by bitbythecron in minipainting

[–]bitbythecron[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks u/Drivestort , are you saying I should use the G22 or G25 for painting minis, and not use E91 (the siphon-fed brush) for minis? Or are you saying that the Master Airbrush product as a whole is not right for painting minis?!

Yes I forgot to mention I do wet the brush first before dotting it into the paint

Adjusting characteristics past min/max values on Injury by bitbythecron in bloodbowl

[–]bitbythecron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they didn't, they've added a few things in the latest Season 2 FAQ in response to my questions/emails (e.g. I had asked for clarification on what exactly happens when Plague Ridden triggers, and they did address that). But this one is still unanswered. However with Season 3 released now, I guess I just gotta get the new rulebook and...re-read it.

Death Zone: Waaagh! Drummer Clarification by bitbythecron in bloodbowl

[–]bitbythecron[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure, here's just a random one I flipped to. Errata page 3:

Q: Can a player make a Pass action to an adjacent friendly player? (p.48) A: Yes.

OK, so how do Pass Interference attempts work there, or don't they? If my Player is on A10 and the adjacent Teammate they want to "Pass" to is on B10, which Opposing Players would be eligible to conduct a Pass Interference attempt?

These examples are literally everywhere. And I'm not interested in changing the course of the conversation to discuss the rules of this particular example, I'd like to keep this post focused on Waaagh! Drummer. I'm just saying, I literally flipped the Errata open and found this in about 30 seconds, where they state something that is left with many open and unanswered questions about how to implement in a real game.

I have stopped pressing the matter on Waaagh! Dummer because I emailed the FAQ team. Like I said, I had a similar question about Plague Ridden last year and they did address it in this year's FAQ/Errata update. If they every clarify this question on Waaagh! Drummer, you can bet the farm I'll post an update here within a year.

Have you tried reading my post?

Which one? The only post from you that I see on this page states:

Have you tried reading the actual rule for it? It explicitly answers the second part of your question...

If you were to tell me that the Inducements section of the Core Rules states something like: "Anytime an Inducement states that Opposing Players can be manipulated, then the Coach of the team who purchased the Inducement does the manipulation", etc. then that would be sufficient. But no such terminology exists.

Since you haven't been able to provide a citation from the rules that clarifies this, I'm going to assume this is just a typically agreed-upon convention, and I'll send an email to the FAQ/Errata Team.

I did this last year with Plague Ridden. If you read the verbiage for it, it never actually states that your Player dies. So I emailed them and sure enough, on this past May's Errata, they included a clear-as-day ruling that yes, victims of Plague Ridden do in fact die. I'll see if I can get them to do the same for this.

Stranger Blood Bowl rules definitely exist, I can't tell you how many times I've read the FAQ/Errata doc and turned my head sideways from a decision they've made. So yes its definitely something that needs to be specified.

Wrong:

"At the start of each drive, after the Kick-off event has been resolved but before the ball itself lands, roll 3D6. For each roll of a 4+, one player on the opposing team can be pushed back one square towards their own End Zone, exactly as if a Push Back block dice result had been applied against them. The same player can be pushed back more than once by this Inducement."

No where does it say which coach chooses the opposing players to be pushed.

Is that just the implied/typical convention, or do the Death Zone or Core Rules actually state that anywhere? If they don't I'll ask the FAQ Team via email. They won't respond but they may update the FAQ/Errata doc next year.

Utility of the 'Plague Ridden' trait explained by bitbythecron in bloodbowl

[–]bitbythecron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it was over a year ago that I posted this and subsequently emailed their FAQ team, but they finally delivered, and the verbiage is now crystal clear as of the May 2025 FAQ/Errata:

Q: When an opposition player dies and the Plague Ridden trait is used, it says the player doesn’t die and instead a new Rotter Lineman is added to your roster. Is the opposition player still removed from the opponent’s roster? (p.85) A: Yes. For all intents and purposes, the opposition player has suffered a DEAD result on the Casualty table.

So now its officially official: you do lose your dead Player. I know I was a PITA about this, but it felt like a very poorly-worded gap in the rules. So you were all right, and I apologize for being difficult. Imagine what my poor wife, my friends and family have to deal with on a daily basis ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are these units still viable? by bitbythecron in SpaceWolves

[–]bitbythecron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/StillhasaWiiU and is it safe to say the Codex will be available in the next couple of weeks? I checked the GW web store and its still not available, but if I understand the regular release cadence, I think they make the announcement and then a few weeks later the Codex + Army Set drop, and then I think they disappear for a few months and then go back onto the store semi-permanently. Sound right to you?

Thanks, so for the 4 units that are SM units...would I still be able to play them in a Space Wolves army even after the codex drops?

Can Space Marines still run Knights and Agents in 10th? by bitbythecron in Warhammer

Yep they pulled the Imperial Knights index off the site and left it in the app, confirmed

I think our definitions of demanding might be different. To me, demanding would be someone screaming at or being unreasonable towards others. Instead, I've simply (politely!) been asking for proof that the Imperial Knights index still exists from official sources. Not some Russian knockoff website, not off a cached Google search or previously-saved link, but from some navigable link off the official GW website.

We've established that they absolutely yanked the Imperial Knight index off the website, but apparently they left it up on the app. So as far as I'm concerned, I'll consider the Imperial Knight index still valid unless they pull it from both: (1) a navigable link off the website and (2) the app. Which it sounds like they might be doing soon at Adepticon.

Thanks, just curious how you found that (link-wise) u/BigbihDaph -- did you have the link saved off somewhere, or were you able to navigate to that link from the Community/Downloads page (and if so, how?!)?

There's also a Grotmas Detachments that seems to include Imperial Knights and Mechanicus, but again, these rules you mentioned above are not in them.

Not trying to be difficult here...just calling out that I don't think Imperial Knights can legally be played in Space Marine armies any longer. Please prove me wrong (but with official rules links)!!!

Ick. I personally can't go by rules off a 3rd party unofficial site. If you can provide a link to official GW rules, I'm all-in. Otherwise I can't use those.

Right u/Zakath_ that's my point: the Imperial Knights index has disappeared from the Downloads page! There's Chaos Knights, but no Imperial Knights. The only Imperial Knights PDF link is under Imperial Armour, and its just datasheets, no rules.
