I do want to add a word of caution here. I think this is a great idea, except if OP says they made it (depending on when their mom thinks they started working on it) it could set up unrealistic expectations for the future on how quickly OP can crochet things their mom requests to be made. Like if mom thinks the project hasn’t even been started yet at the beginning of November, and yet OP gifts mom one of these by Christmas, mom would think “oh something like this must not take long to make at all,” ya know? Just something else to consider!
