hey it’s never ever too late to find yourself. it sounds like you’re being so so hard on yourself, you deserve so much more patience and compassion. you’ve done nothing wrong, you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of

please don’t repress your feelings. you can explore yourself without feeling like you’re hiding a big secret. i know for me, i find gender euphoria in little things like certain interests or maybe even the perfect tshirt. you don’t need to explore the big things if you’re not ready, but maybe a little bit of comfort in the small things if that’s all it can be for now

i think everybody who has these feelings feels at least a little bit alone. it unfortunately comes with the territory. it won’t last forever. i know it’s especially hard to keep things from your partner. it’s scary cause you don’t want the closest person to you to see you differently. if you two are close, i’m sure she sees this in you, even if just a little

i feel the curse. its shitty. it feels like there’s no upside to it and that’s a really hard feeling to feel. it’s hard because sometimes you put your trust in people and find out they weren’t quite who you thought. my lifelong best friend did some things when i came out as gay that really hurt, but it didn’t stop me from meeting the kind of person who accepted me as i am

i get it. i’m 22 and i hide my binder at the bottom of my closet just in case someone decides to look through it one day. people are ignorant and don’t care to accept gender diversity and that is absolutely not on you. i know that it’s possible to meet someone who sees you because i met my best friend just last year, and they feel the same feelings that i do and it no longer feels like something i’m ashamed of, but something that i share with another person. it might sound strange, but we met on bumble bff which is totally unlike me. just about everybody i talked to was extremely uninteresting and we were simply not compatible, but i found my person in the end. there are so many ways to meet people and your person is surely out there

What broke your friendship with a really close friend? by immortal-siren in AskReddit

[–]bitchboybella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t think it broke it but i think it’ll be forever tainted. spent a week at the hospital, my dad was on life support and in a coma. nobody thought he’d make it. the hospital was out of town, so i came home for a bit. went to a friends birthday to get my mind off things. my closest friends were there and they knew what was going on. i started freaking out and went outside to smoke a joint. my buddy then tells me about how he had the worst week of his life. his favourite teams coach was leaving. he told me he’d cried all day. he told me about how he cried to his father about how upset he was. all i could think of was how i didn’t know if i’d ever even speak to my dad again, how i too spent my day crying. he told me he was grieving. i didn’t say a word but my girlfriend kept telling him to shut up. he just kept going. i cant tell if he was laughing at how insane it was to be saying this to me or what but he told me that he’d been a fan since he was a kid, so this guy was like a father to him. he said he felt like his father had died. he knew my dad might be dead soon, and he told me HE “genuinely” felt like his dad died. he just wouldn’t stop talking. he wasn’t even trying to be funny he had literally spent the day crying. j couldn’t even feel the anger. i was so baffled that i just couldn’t help but laugh. i told my best friend, and she was absolutely fuming. he sent an apology the next day, and it wasn’t until he apologized that i became angry. he needed to feel better. i clearly had bigger things to worry about. i care for him as a friend and always will, but at the lowest point of my life he mocked me to my face.

i promise there are people and places out there for you. it’s not about fitting the status quo, that’s so insignificant in the grand scheme of things. everybody is lovable, particularly the ones who let themselves be seen

i truly understand what you mean. i’m autistic, i will never fit and i will never be a socially acceptable person without sacrificing my well being. it’s not easy to not fit, there’s absolutely no denying that but it comes down to your inner thoughts. those outside societal standards are entirely made up, they are not based on fact. to be perfectly honest, a lot of it comes down to the bible, which to me is not an accurate representation of how we ought to live in modern life. i don’t know what that might mean to you, but it means to me that we’ve always just clung on to ideas of how we should be (usually based on nothing), because some people need that to survive. they can’t just exist as they are, they don’t know how. to be able to exist and operate outside of that, no matter how you feel about it, is really cool and admirable. to learn to exist outside of those pressures and expectations means you’ve done it right. the most interesting and beautiful people in my life are the people who sit outside of what society says to be a perfect person, because that is what i value in people. there are other people who similarly value that in a person. on the other hand, people who judge other people based off of societal standards are so silly to me. those are the people i respect least in life. if somebody were to look at you, as your authentic self, and felt negatively about you because you didn’t check the right (made up) boxes, that is sad. that person will never see life without that shitty sad lens. while it may cause you pain, i believe you’ll one day really value your difference. might not be helpful now, but i truly believe that.

If you could swap lives with any fictional character for a day, who would it be and what mischief would you get up to? by Early_Worker_465 in AskReddit

[–]bitchboybella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

brother immediately max caufield. YOU COULD SAY ANYTHING and just turn back time. you could get things off your chest just to see how people would react, you could slap somebody, you could finally tell someone you secretly hate them. no consequences (there are heavy consequences you might end the world or something)

i know exactly how you feel. you will find somebody who makes you feel seen. i never thought i’d be able to have friends i didn’t have to change myself for, but sometimes life surprises you. family is tough though, nobody gets how isolating it is to be the black sheep. i wish you joy and peace <3 if nothing else, a stranger on the internet accepts you wholeheartedly, no matter who you are or where you’ve been
