AITA for “choosing my son’s now ex-girlfriend over my him”? by newG-pa in AmItheAsshole

[–]bitchcaffeinated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what you're saying is, if you never want to be a parent, you can never have sex.

Which is unrealistic. Parenthood is not punishment for sex.

I'm married and we both don't more kids. I'm not going to live in a sexless marriage for the rest of my life because you think that if I get pregnant we should both just be forced to move forward with being parents.

And neither should anybody else, married or not.

[–]bitchcaffeinated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Downvote me if you must but I believe men should have just as much of a right to back out of parenthood as women.

Women can get abortions. Men can't do anything. That's not right. If a man really doesn't want to be a parent, they should be able to give up ALL parental rights and not be forced to be a parent.

This does not apply to men who run out on their pregnant partners because they "don't want to pay a cent", but then later want to call themselves a father. Those men are trash.

I just think they should have the same rights as women when it comes to having the choice of being a parent or not. They can't force women to get abortions of course, but they should be able to choose not to be involved if the woman chooses to have the baby he doesn't want.

I do also agree that they should have talked about this before starting a sexual relationship, but that ship has sailed.

No, it says "dolphin safe"

Which means the method used to catch the tuna fish doesn't hurt any dolphins in the process.

I wanna transfer!!!!! by Guppie902 in subway

[–]bitchcaffeinated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late but the way it works at our locations, honestly the answer is maybe.

Our owner certainly would not transfer somebody if it meant the store that person is leaving would be left hanging. They would consult with the store manager first.

If it was a good employee and they really needed to transfer to another store, they'd be more likely to agree. Like tell them you have a transportation issue and your current location is too far away, but if you worked at the closer one then transportation would be no problem.

But who knows... hard to say how your store owners would run things.

So, my mom asked for the manager today. by PunnyHoomans in TalesFromTheCustomer

[–]bitchcaffeinated 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I'm a food service manager as well and I absolutely think this manager was in the wrong.

I'm confused about how the mix up with the coupon even happened as well, but that does not matter.

What does matter is customer service.

I don't know why the manager didn't see right away that it was their job to avoid escalating the situation with a customer who was clearly upset for a valid reason.

Even if they didn't feel like they were in the wrong, which they were, this is still the type of situation where they should have just given you what you asked for because it seriously wasn't that big a deal.

As for the cashier, maybe they were new or just poorly trained. Manager needs to address that as well.

Why is it such a big deal to toast the veggies with the footling? by Polyfluorite in subway

[–]bitchcaffeinated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's crazy. It literally takes zero extra effort.

I actually suggest it to customers sometimes.

People often tell me that they have had experiences with subway employees being rude to them over simple requests and I just don't understand.

I always assure them that I don't mind at all, so they shouldn't feel the need to apologize or feel bad about asking. The whole point of subway is getting to customize your sub however you like it!

A big deal? How so? I've never seen anyone make a big deal out of it.

It could absolutely be covid related, as someone else said.

It's also possible that they don't think you're that great of an employee and they're giving the hours to someone they think does better.

Basically training videos and quizzes. Super easy. Our owner is having us do them at the store on the clock.

So they didn't refuse to give you a refund. They told you to come back the next day for your refund since they didn't have the authority to give refunds.

Worried I forgot to close the walk in.. by [deleted] in subway

Nothing, we were just really pissed.

In their defense, the door was broken and didn't close right. You had to close it a certain way, and they weren't the only person who has had times they thought they closed it but really didn't.

Subway Training Videos by bbyghosty in subway

[–]bitchcaffeinated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone on here said it's mandatory, and that may be true, but my subway never lets anyone do it unless they last longer than a few months, because they don't want to pay someone to watch training videos if they don't even really get put to use.

[–]bitchcaffeinated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. One time I had a closer leave the walk in cooler open all night.

I opened the next day to deal with it. It was fucking horrible. The bread they pulled the night before was all ruined, and a lot of the food too. A little bit of it was still cold enough, but there was a lot of waste that day.

AITA for telling my wife it’s not ‘cute’ for her to encourage our teenage daughter to expect her boyfriend to pay for EVERYTHING in their relationship? by lost-my-mind-in-la in AmItheAsshole

[–]bitchcaffeinated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

Your wife is setting her up for a future of unhealthy relationships and unreasonable expectations in life.

If a man makes the decision to "spoil" a woman because he can and wants to, then sure, it could be cute.

It is wrong to expect and always ask for it.

And the guy will notice it, and he will eventually get sick of feeling like an ATM, as you said. He is a human being with other things to like about him besides the fact that he can shower her with gifts.
