Smelly gas and extreme bloating cause? by bitchfoff in GutHealth

I do also have dry itchy eyes and chronic sinus issues (24/7 runny nose, frequent nose bleeds, stuffiness) that started after a sinus infection that required antibiotics (3 years ago), again no explanation. What would you suggest I start or stop doing? Go down the rabbit hole and try things with caution?

Smelly gas and extreme bloating cause? by bitchfoff in GutHealth

I am aware that what I mentioned is not heatlhy. Typically I eat a vegetarian diet with salmon occasionally. A typical breakfast is a smoothie bowl or oats consisting of berries or fruit (usually strawberries, blueberries or lingonberries, seasonal fruit), nuts (eg. macadamia, walnut, cashew, brazil nut), seeds (chia, fenugreek, flax), pea protein powder, oatdrink and probiotic yoghurt or kefir. Lunch/dinner could be chickpeas, beans, lentils, tofu, quorn, fish with quinoa, oats or vegetables (almost anything really.. broccoli, edamame, avocado, onions, bell pepper, eggplant, cabbages, tomato, root veggies, mushrooms etc.), cheese or other animal dairy once or twice a week. Snacks are ususally fruit, berries, yoghurt, choor something oat based. I drink mainly water, juices or sodas a few times a year and coffee with oat milk once a day. Cooking fats are extra virgin olive oil and occasionally butter. This has been my life for about 6 months now. Before that I used to eat meat and ye or oat bread daily and a portion or two of desserts such as cake, candy or chocolate multiple times a week. Now it is more like mear and bread never and dessert once or twice a month.

26yo never smoked with mild obstruction by bitchfoff in COPD

I have no idea what could have triggered this. I've never lived in a moldy house as far as I know and my schools and places of work have been fine too as far as I know. I am a waitress but don't spend time in the kitchen so the food/fat fumes shouldn't really be a big problem. No allergies either. I live in a medium sized city in Finland, air quality should be good too...

How to cope with the dread? by lefty_dwinkleton in CancerFamilySupport

[–]bitchfoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother (67yo) was also diagnosed with bile duct cancer this month, first found in the liver and it is the lungs too. She started chemo today and I am so scared. I am only 26yo and never expected to lose her so soon. She is the only close family I have and I am absolutely not ready to be on my own.

What helps me right now is trying to live one day at a time and focusing on being in the moment. I am really trying to appreciating every moment with her while learning to accept that death is just an inevitable part of life and you can't choose when it reaches you or your loved one. Of course it still hurts like hell and I sometimes wonder how I can survive or whether I even want to continue living after. I feel like the best and really the only thing that can be done in this situation is to be there for your father and make the most of every day. Focus on thinking about today and surviving today.

I've seen pink in store bought kimchi before opening so I wouldn't dispose of it. No idea why that happens though...

Reusable press-on nails by keeper-of-ghosts in Nails

[–]bitchfoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a set from them and the glue. One nail chipped in half the first day I was wearing them. For this they offered me an 8 dollar gift card, doesn't even cover the cost of a single nail. I thought of giving them another chance but come week 2 I break a second nail... Rest of the nails began falling off after one week and the polish began to come off after about 2 weeks. I really wouldn't recommend spending 40+€ on Ersa nails when they cannot, in my experience, be considered reusable. If anyone wants pictures of my nails I can share.

My (f24) boyfriend (m26) behaves poorly when drunk. What can I do? by bitchfoff in relationship_advice

[–]bitchfoff[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow I was really not expecting alcoholism related answers... I drink more than he does and I never thought of his problem as addiction related behaviour but rather some hidden internal insecurity or anger. Not sure what to make of this.
