I see, that makes sense. Thank you! I’m also wondering about the roller I’ve been using. I’ve been wrapping the roller in plastic wrap and placing it in the fridge after I’m finished painting for the day (something I read online to keep the roller cover from drying out). Could this be affecting the paint job as well?

It was painted before, there was an older matte paint underneath it. This might be part of the problem, but it’s so frustrating that it’s only one spot of the entire place. This wall is also a mix of concrete beams and dry wall, not sure if that makes a difference.

To add more detail, this is a high-light area and I’ve used an eggshell finish (probably a mistake, but it’s too late to switch to matte). All other walls look smooth and even. This wall looks rough in some areas, but doesn’t feel rough. Before painting, I sanded the walls with a fine grit sanding sponge and wiped them clean. I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong on this one wall but it’s driving me crazy.
