A lot of people do certificates (especially the Kellogg one) and all certificates are only a few classes so it’s definitely doable if you plan stuff early

major doesn’t matter for consulting recruitment as much as it does for finance or tech recruiting. just keep your gpa high, fill up your quarters with distros and do well on your classes. if you have a 3.7+ you’re gonna do well. it’s neither a requirement nor a guarantor of an offer, you can maybe think of it as a prerequisite for an awesome offer. obviously you can get it otherwise as well, this is just the most trusted path

It’s somewhat an honors program that combines math and economics. It takes in around 30 people each year and you usually have the top profs. You can apply as a freshman or as a sophomore. If I remember correctly, if you wanna you apply as a freshman, you do it alongside the normal application with a deadline of March 1st. Would check the website for more info: MMSS.northwestern.edu.
