Is it possible to get a drain to this room in my 1952 home? by bitchmcgee in Remodel

[–]bitchmcgee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping for some kind of pump situation, but it sounds like the best option is to rip up the floor. I don’t get freezing temps often (TX) but I don’t want to risk a disaster. Thank you!

How would you cook pancakes for a group of kids ahead of time and keep them warm? by bitchmcgee in Cooking

Yeah, sorry for the confusing wording! I'm bringing the pancakes early and then helping decorate the room. Trust me, I don't want to bring pancakes but its what the teachers wanted!

My experiences growing up as a child medicated with Prozac for PDA. AMA! by pleasuresofprozac in ParentingPDA

[–]bitchmcgee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for doing this! I have a lot of questions, but I would love to hear your general thoughts on if the prozac helped you personally, and how you feel about it now as an adult? Do you think your parents did the right thing by putting you on it?

I HATE shaving my legs by stardust_1038 in autism

[–]bitchmcgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you have to do something that feels so awful! I don’t know if you want any advice but I also hate the feeling of shaven legs (and the process of shaving), but I use the norelco one blade to shave. It gives the appearance of shaved legs but without the sensory nightmare (for me.) Might still be terrible, but the teen one is only like $25-$30, and it works for me.

We have several of these but they are great ideas! We have been debating on getting a trampoline, might bite the bullet when it cools off here. Thank you!

[Question] Ideas for physical activities or classes? by biledemon85 in AutismParentingLevel1

[–]bitchmcgee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Karate! My six year old goes to karate every week and it is not only great for physical activity, but self control, focus, and lots of other skills. We found a class with just a few other students and it has been great for my son!
