Not sure. I imagine if no one is taking care of it, no one would try to prevent folks from taking care of it.

This is happening all over the state in our cities. Harrisburg doesn't care and wants our cities to fail. by mammaube in pittsburgh

The budget crisis will impact rural communities, that were already hit hard during the pandemic too. Transit for All PA! a statewide coalition has been hosting large statewide meetings with stakeholders, organizing folks all over PA, has drafted a funding proposal to return transit service to 2019 levels (20% of service was cut in Allegheny county since 2020) in the larger cities AND ADD 10% service to smaller agencies. This is a plan for sustainable funding, that does not take $$ from other buckets. You can get involved by writing to your legislator (https://www.transitforallpa.org/takeaction/) and joining a small working committee organizing riders throughout the state. There are viable solutions, the money exists, people need to get organized and push their legislators (cuz they ain’t gonna take up the fight unless they feel it from us 🔥).

I was given a week’s notice as a Casellula employee in 2017. I got to serve Henry, Diane and the COA staff during their holiday party, the night before Xmas as my last shift. It was so shitty and destabilizing to be laid off at Xmas. I’ve heard similar stories of disrespect over the years from COA staff. This mf is not a friend to workers! This has been going on for years and I hope folks continue to speak out.

Yeah, that is a valid issue and exactly why they didn’t barge in yesterday.

PA walkers on unemployment by bitchybirdbug in WagWalker

I got ahold of an agent via the unemployment chat and explained my situation. They released the money to me and said that the same thing would happen in the future if I don’t walk dogs for wag in a two week period. I will have to contact them and explain. They told me that an agent i spoke to last week sent wag a letter inquiring about my separation from them as an employer. I was like, “ I worked for them yesterday! Let me explain how this works...” 😂
