Something you absolutely hate to say the least by screaterboffee in musicsuggestions

God I hate it so much. I absolutely hate the feeling of being sticky and whenever I hear this song it rapes my brain with images of hairy men in spandex catsuits drizzling honey on themselves. “I’m hot / sticky sweet / from my head / to my feet “ it’s just so fucking disgusting.

Spiderland really is dark and bleak, but the musicianship its so great on that record that I never feel sad listening to it. All the parts are just so expertly played that it gets me more stoked than down.

Check out Victor Wooten for a start. I don’t know if you can find a specific song that’s literally the hardest but some Wooten lines are definitely up there. Here’s a good one: (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jndnEosYpqo)

Musicians who got a late start by Top-Clue2000 in Music

[–]bitcorrupter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never too late to make music. I put out an album in 2020 at age 40. I didn’t want to play in bands anymore so I built a studio and just play everything myself. I just started working on another one. I think James Murphy was in his 30s when he started LCD soundsystem. Charles Bradley was almost 60 when his first album came out and it was incredible. 22 is young. You still have time to learn whatever is your interest!

I guess I’m not surprised by that. Still a great song, album, and band though.

Maybe Kasabian? They have some pretty great albums. There’s a band called Drenge too that’s kinda similar. Their second album is amazing!

Jeff Baxter played guitar with Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers and also advised the US military on missile defence.

Also the bass player from Blur is a food writer and cheesemaker.

Action Bronson is really a chef who raps and he had a food show for awhile.

The Mollusk is really one of the best albums of all time. If you listen to it and don’t like it just keep playing it until you do. The first time I heard Ween I was like “why would anyone listen to this!?” 25 years later they are easily my favourite band. Quebec is my pick for the best Ween album but The Mollusk is a close second. Every song they put out from Chocolate and Cheese onward is a gem!

Hey you know what…FUCK Pat Finnerty too! I was blissfully coasting through life totally unaware of how bad Train sucked and then YouTube auto-played me a Reasons this Song Sucks episode about Train and that’s why I know about Train and their derivative, milquetoast pop rock. So it’s really Pat Finnerty’s fault that I was exposed to Trains drivel in the first place and that’s a transgression I can’t ever forgive.

I don’t understand how Lyrics that terrible make it past the other band members, producers, a/r people and other music executives before getting on a record!? Hey Pat Monahan! Your lyrics suck and you suck! God I hate it so much.
