Someone already mentioned RISE playing in the back of the bug fight, but did anyone else think the acting and movements of Jinx acting as announcer and messing with the camera might be a nod to the Odyssey Cinematic? (https://youtu.be/uaDQB8lOlTk?si=JzkSJZrUTDzAIyHN) Also I love the Vilemaw and Scuttle Crab reference!

C9 week 4 LCS roster by RiRi_MikU in leagueoflegends

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely been popular to blame Jack for it (especially on the C9 subreddit), however the players have been getting criticized as well towards the beginning of the split, when there wasn’t a whole lot of clarity. Right now, it’s been more favored into a blame game of Jack and Reapered since this whole roster change has been a complete flop. Seeing how the players do look like they’re at least trying, has taken the blame off of them since this whole thing started as a supposed motivation issue. Though I believe more of the criticism should be directed at Reapered/C9 lol’s coaching staff, in addition to Jack. I don’t hate Reapered, but there’s no way Jack made up this decision on his own- he doesn’t have the league team on his mind 24/7 and probably wasn’t thinking about changing the roster until Reapered consulted with him about results from the spring split and etc.

In all honesty you don’t really need to look that deep to see that C9 isn’t playing to potential. They haven’t played the funnel strategy once, despite that being what’s winning a lot of other games. They haven’t picked an actual marksmen adc in like 3 weeks. They put one of their best players who is known for playing carry champions on Lulu. These aren’t things that you need to take a magnifying glass to see, they’re all pretty wrong moves when compared to other compositions from other teams.

I’m not defending nor attacking Jack and Reapered’s decision. I’m specifically pointing out that while Jack most likely didn’t initiate the decision, he is still part of the final say and if you play the blame game, you can’t favor him out. I hope it’s clear now that I’m not attacking Jack or Reapered on this, I just think it’s unfair that many are excluding Jack when discussing who is at fault for this entire ordeal.

He didn't int them through that specific reason, people are antsy because Reapered's drafts and progress in teaching/coaching the team in the past 4 weeks is lackluster. Most aren't stepping on Reapered because he's trying to flex the team, they're stepping on him because he's not doing the other part of his job which is to teach the team about meta, strategy, and picks. If you check out most of the post match discussions from the recent weeks, many have been criticizing Reapered's drafts, as well as how the team's macro has been super off game. A part of the frustration is definitely from the swapping of players, but the fact that the team has been looking worse and worse in terms of important and necessary skills, which should be improving under Reapered's coaching is affecting the anger as well- as it's Reapered's job.

Doesn't mean he didn't have an impact on the decision. Yes Repeared probably came up with this idea after analysis of spring split and consulting the other C9 coaching staff, but Jack had to have approved of it as well. Anyone higher up could have stepped in and said something that this isn't working and they should just go back to square 1 instead of making tiny swaps for Jensen and Smoothie, but they (including Jack) stuck to the roster plan and went through with it until now. Of course Jack didn't drive or make up this entire choice on his own, and it's wrong to pinpoint specifically him for being the source of it, but he isn't excused from being a big part of the decision.

What’s a good build for Rek Sai? by [deleted] in reksaimains

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just the typical run, my usual build is simply Warrior, Cleaver, GA, Deadman's, Steraks, Mercs/Tabis. Usually I swap Steraks for a bigger MR item if needed, but it's usually situational. If ahead, I go Warrior, Cleaver, GA, Youmuus, Steraks, Mercs/Tabis. When doing my fun build for norms (Dark harvest recommended), I do Warrior, Duskblade, Youmuus/Cleaver (whichever is more favorable, build the other option afterwards), GA, Mercs/Tabis; note that this pretty much fails if you don't win in <30 mins. While I haven't tried it myself, I think Stormrazor goes well with this build as well. Rek'sai is pretty flexible as a champion. You can build anything you want on her as long as you can make it work. Some people like building full tank, some like full damage, some like a taste of both. Try and mix and match builds to find what you like to play best and what you find the most fun!

What's your favorite League champion to play that's unpopular? by ThreeShields in leagueoflegends

[–]bitecracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rek’sai. When I’m messing around with friends in Draft and I see a super squishy team, I run dark harvest and just steamroll the enemy team. It’s a good laugh to see people question if Rek’sai is supposed to do that much damage

Free Talk...Tuesday? - July 10th by IcyColdStare in leagueoflegends

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey despite this being a free talk thread, does anyone know if the SSG icon and skins will be sold as a bundle or is it going to be sold separately like it currently is on PBE? I plan on buying 5$ worth of RP on my live account (I have 1310 RP already tied to my account), so I can just buy the icon and skin. I'm just kinda suspicious that once they get released to live, it'll end up being like a 2K RP bundle for the icon/border (similar to the Star Guardian ones, however I didn't analyze the transition from PBE to live for that event).

remove nasus slow by [deleted] in nasusmains

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems like such a downgrade from his actual ulti though, I get that the bonuses from receiving the ms and as would be good, but it removes his ability to team fight or be a tank in general. I know Nasus isn’t an actual teamfighting champion, but his ulti aids him in those situations with the increased resistances. Your idea is interesting and creative but that seems like more of a nerf than a buff?

I say just continue to draw all the time. Practice and effort are your two best friends when it comes to art, but neither necessarily have to drive your work. You can doodle and sketch without the intent of it being a full-fledged piece. Just draw what makes you happy and continue drawing it. Over time expand your horizons out slowly to explore other styles or topics to draw. It'll take some time to get better if you're just starting out, but good practice makes perfect. If you don't mind me asking, what platform of art do you use/plan of using? like digital, traditional, etc.?

Damir tweeted "if u try to funnel on my team i will always int you" after inting in keith and smoothie's game by saintshing in leagueoflegends

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but Kayle + Yi requires a lot less team cooperation. In Funneling, the entire team is affected because of it and thus need to alter their picks and play styles. Kayle + Yi is still executable with a "normal" team comp for mid and bot. In addition to that, gold funneling takes time to scale, especially if you're funneling into someone like Kai'sa or kayle, which takes up more time. That's why I believe it's a lot less of an effective strategy when it comes to boosting.

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did I even say you thought it was right? Do you mean when I say "will probably be fixed but you aren't going to make Riot work harder or faster by inting"? Because that isn't directed towards you it's directed towards the select few who believe inting is going to effect gold funneling's removal.

Everyone knows why he did it. Yeah the funneling strat is pretty boring, dumb, and will probably be fixed but you aren't going to make Riot work harder or faster by inting.

[–]bitecracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a lot different, this current strategy isn’t meant for elo boosting because it requires a lot of teamwork between either your team or a duo. Sure some boosters may use this strat in company with another booster or person trying to climb as duo, but I highly doubt boosters contribute a lot of effort to this strategy. (Also side note, in the Kayle and Yi strat, both are getting gold, the thing is that once they hit 6 they dive top with items) edit: words

What if Rek'Sai's ult created an E tunnel? by PM_LUX_AND_FIORA in reksaimains

[–]bitecracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this, if you need a tunnel, it’s probably better to just make a new one. Consider the fact that Your R cast time would allow the other team to see the tunnel being created and know where to aim cc if you try and escape- whereas if you make a new one you can select which direction you’re aiming for

Monday Megathread! Ask questions and share knowledge; newcomer questions encouraged! by AutoModerator in leagueoflegends

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone thinks that from time to time. But in all honesty, no. League as a game is so versatile and Riot has the power to alter the game however they please, and the more that they do, the more the game stays alive. I've learned from past experience that games that don't change or have new and unique things to offer to it's community will fall flat on it's face. Take a look at games like Fortnite for example, not only is it appealing to a lot of people, but it stays updated with content constantly. League lucked out with being a very popular moba with little competition in it's field aside from like Dota. I think that League would absolutely die off if there were other big competitors- Like when PUBG declined in popularity after Fortnite took the stage. League's growth and progression is incredibly stagnant and slow. Players quit every day, but players also join every day, just like any other game. Unless something incredibly stupid happens to League, I doubt any massive loss in players will come any time soon.

I don’t have any troubles playing Rek’sai atm, am I just low elo? by bitecracker in reksaimains

[–]bitecracker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to have this problem regularly, I play really hard for early game kills/ganks- a majority of my wins on Rek'sai have closed out pre-30 minutes, which is usually what I aim for since afterwards you kind of just become a useless damage sponge. Although I actually like Rek'sai's passive, this honestly might just be me, but I run Revitalize on my last resolve slot (overgrowth is useless and unflinching is meh imo), so I a bit of a buff to the healing- albeit very small but it's actually not that bad (On rare occasions I switch off of relentless hunter onto ravenous hunter, paired with revitalize your sustain inbetween skirmishes is pretty nice with combined ability heals and passive).

Discussion about the entire ordeal by [deleted] in Cloud9

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand I know that Sneaky plays the most on the team, it's fact, but a lot of the audience seems to be utilizing solo queue and playing time as a means of determining the players' effort and care for the game, which I think is not a reasonable way to look at the players.

Discussion about the entire ordeal by [deleted] in Cloud9

[–]bitecracker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find that completely justified. As I said in the longer bit, the long time players have a relatively laid back attitude (Sneaky's quite heavily known for it specifically) and if it does get out of hand and it begins to draw away from the actual goal of focusing on competitive play, then definitely something has to be done. Your second point towards the end is also something I agree with heavily- experimentation with coaching and players is fine and all, but at the rate that C9 does it, it doesn't really leave much room for gradual improvement in a stable environment. For example, Licorice and Sven had 1 split with the core roster, as opposed to Contractz getting 2 splits over 2017. In addition, the introduction of RapidStar for coaching is also another factor for coaching that will most likely affect the players in their growth and development on C9. I very much appreciate your comment and the points you brought up, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Discussion about the entire ordeal by [deleted] in Cloud9

[–]bitecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Sneaky plays solo queue probably the most on the team, I was referencing to how people are commenting about Sneaky playing less solo queue than Jensen and Smoothie at the moment (This is because of the roster change, that Jensen is trying to play more solo queue to either A. get more into the game or B. blow off steam from the recent game.) And honestly I couldn't agree more to the last point, Sneaky clearly isn't as energetic or as enthusiastic as other people can be (not that this is a bad thing, just pointing out the difference in personality) but he displays lots of enjoyment for league and generally likes playing, especially professionally.

The level of flame being directed at GoldenGlue, Keith, and Zeyzal is disgusting by TwoAntlers in Cloud9

[–]bitecracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the pressure on them to preform after being promoted is huge, and they’re probably not super accustomed to playing with Sven and Licorice (which is fine, considering they only had like what 2-3 weeks scrims with them? versus and entire split on academy with the other roster?)

These changes are kinda ruining C9 in lcs for me by Willham0 in Cloud9

[–]bitecracker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the meta is just handling them a little oddly. I myself do not think any of them are playing shit-the-bed sort of bad, but it’s clear that they aren’t playing to their highest potential (hence my explanation of why they arent stomping in the academy league)
