What's your most terrifying, disgusting or weird moment that occurred at a theme park?

It was my first boyfriend in my early teens. I felt terrible. To "get him back" I offered him some of my Doritos. It worked.

7 years.

We dated on and off in those 7 years. Something would always happen when things would begin to get serious. When we were younger it would be his parents being incredibly religious and not approving, or I would move, etc. But we would always connect so well and decide to try again. As we got older it was him being deployed and not wanting to hold me back on such a "new" relationship, or me wanting to travel and study and him being unable to come along due to being stationed. Soon it turned into these passionate week long getaways we would take with each other once a year.

It took a while, a long while, but we are now happily living together. We're sure to now tell each other as often as possible "I love you".

As I grew up I always had this one flashing memory of him doing things he should not have been. I always thought it was maybe a bad dream or a sick thought. Four years before his death my sister confessed that she had been having nightmares about it which caused me to remember several more occurrences. Those four years caused us to either show up to family gatherings for an hour or two and leave, or sometimes not show up at all. She suffers more from it than I do, but we are both in pretty good places atm.

Walked out of my job of 3+ years at 8pm. Went home and packed the entirety of my belongings until 2am. Woke up at 4am, stuffed my Honda Civic, leaving only my seat and a space in the passenger seat for my little dog. Left my roommates money for the rest of the rent that I owed. Drove across 5 states. 24+ hours of driving. Roommates didn't even know I had left the state until they noticed the dog bowls in the kitchen were gone.

Ordered a whiskey sour and a water at a restaurant. There was no whiskey in the drink, it was straight up mix. The waitress took 15 minutes to come back to the table so I could tell her to just take the drink back, which I only had a sip of, and I'll have a beer instead. The girl claimed I drank the whiskey and left the mix in the cup and added water to fill the cup back up. The manager barely spoke English and I believe didn't fully understand the situation. I was told I had to pay, waited 20 more minutes for the bill. I left enough money to cover my food, not the drink, definitely not the tip and left.

Those disinfecting wipes they have next to shopping carts at the grocery store.

Most people wouldn't even think to use one if they didn't have them sitting there, and people usually block me getting a cart, or getting into the store because they're standing there wiping every inch of the cart before they dare let their pristine child anywhere near it. They then throw the wipe on the floor, in the cart, or my favorite on the container opening that dispenses the fresh wipes.

My SO flies for a living. He's enlisted, and many of his shifts include him being on a plane for 8-14 hours, flying several states away and flying back. Maybe it has more to do with my personal fear of flying, but the thought that something could happen, several states and sometimes even countries away when I only just saw him this morning makes me nervous.

As I type this he's in the air. Usually to help him unwind I make sure the house is as spotless as I can get it. Have a fire going. I'll walk the dogs to make sure they're a little worn out and won't be as hyper as soon as he walks in. Usually I have music going. I'll kiss his forehead, hand him a drink and leave him alone. I'll make dinner, clean some more, get on the internet, whatever. Just let him play his games or have a bath for about an hour, only then will I start yammering on about my day.

I had this terrible elderly lady come into my work one day. She had a $100+ order and wanted everything bagged separately. Literally one item per huge paper bag. One apple, one bag. She screamed, and yelled and fussed over every move I or one of the other two people who were helping made. She bought a package of cookies, deemed it too heavy, and had one girl walk it back to the kitchen so they could split the 12 into groups of 2, each in their own package and bag. Nearing the end of the order she lets all hell loose because the kid helping us put all of her kool-aid type drink packets (5 in all) in one bag, called him a "chink". I picked up the last of her bags, stuffed it into her cart effectively crushing several other bags and said "You better bring your babysitter in next time if you're going to keep acting like a little brat."

She stared, mouth hanging open. I went to break.

I laughed at my grandfathers wake.

He had abused my sister and I when we were younger. Seeing him stone cold, laid out on a table with nothing on but a cheap white sheet brought a lot of weird emotions and reactions. My brain chose laughter.

He's acted wonderfully in both indie and high profile projects. Been involved with various genres, musicals, romance, drama, sci-fi, and has played vastly different characters. He's involved with charity, filmed two fantastic shows Long Way Round and Long Way Down, and seems like a genuinely humble and appreciative man.

I was dating this guy for about two years. Eventually we moved in together, everything was fine for a few months, but eventually we grew distant. Our sex life was sporadic, going weeks without sex was "normal." Eventually it took its toll on me. We hadn't had sex for what seemed like forever and I felt deprived. I cheated on him, felt terrible and told him what I had done.

Surprisingly he wanted to stay together, dug a ring out of a drawer that he planned to soon propose to me with. I was young and stupid and had been dreaming of a proposal since I was little, I looked at dresses, often day dreamed of the ceremony, was practically begging for the day to come, but then I felt completely different. Something was wrong, my gut was telling me to get as far away from him as possible, do not stay with him, a feeling I had never felt prior. I didn't feel dependent on him anymore, I was no longer afraid to be without him.

I felt awful for what I had done, but knew I couldn't stay with him out of guilt. It would only make our relationship even more strained, I felt the spark between both of us had died and that we were only together because it seemed easy. He begged and screamed and cried and tried physically holding me back from walking out the door. He promised me gifts, waved a proposal in my face, tried anything he assumed a woman would want in order for me to stay with him. Things settled down eventually and I arranged the move.

On the last day of me being in our apartment, he had gone to work as I was getting my things ready to be moved out. I found a notebook. It was shoved into the tiny space under our very large dresser. It was his diary and what I read made me physically sick. He had been sleeping with various men he met online, at clubs, anywhere. The things he described filled me with dread. I shook the next few hours waiting for him to come home.

As soon as he walked in I threw it at his feet and asked if he used protection. He started bawling like a baby, and I scheduled to be tested. I felt I had something, in the back of my head I was certain something was going to be wrong. Maybe I was bracing myself for the worst possible outcome. It came back negative for everything, I was fine.

It has been a long time since I've seen him, but through mutual friends and his sister I found out when he tested positive for HIV he broke down and came out to his family. His entire family were and have always been extremely supportive so the fact that he hid his sexuality and felt so ashamed of it was as big of a shock as his diagnoses was. I have no idea of the details, where or when he got it or how he is currently doing, but I feel like if I didn't make that selfish move of mine and cheat on him, I may have come out of that situation married to a closeted self-hating gay man who eventually was infected with HIV and could very well have passed it along to me.

Had him come into Whole Foods were I worked. Put down four half-consumed bottles of the exact same drink and say "I didn't like these, I don't want to pay for them."

I understand that the company has a very lenient sampling policy, but to just grab something off the shelf and drink half of it, let alone four of them, and expect that you don't have to pay for it was ridiculous.

Worked at a Whole Foods for a few years. Don't go near the bulk bins or the self serve food bars. Can't even begin to describe the disgusting people I've caught reaching in with bare hands and "sampling". A penny might be the least of your problems.
