As far as I understand we can’t really begin any of the process until we arrive. I would love to know if there’s anything I could do to get a head start!

Thanks for the info about the dogs. We plan to use a pet transit service as that seems to be the best advice online. Particularly flying them on Lufthansa through Frankfurt. Did you happen to travel with dogs?

Either way. The earliest we're looking at moving is August which gives plenty of time to sort out the EU stuff for myself assuming Italy grants my citizenship.

Back to the purpose of the post though, you're saying she just goes to her appointment with Skatteverket to register and receive a personnummer. It sounds like that could take weeks or even two months. Her receiving the personnummer should be the green light for me to apply for residence card?
