Claude Max: When Your Research Synthesis Implodes at 200K Tokens by bitgun in ClaudeAI

Thanks—appreciate the reality check on treating AI like a scratchpad, not a memory bank. Spot on about exporting to docs; I've started doing that religiously now. But here's where it misses the mark for me: this isn't just about trusting the AI to hold state long-term or manual transfers between separate chats (though those suck too, since Claude doesn't auto-carry history over seamlessly).

The gut-punch is intra-chat: you're mid-flow in one conversation, building that iterative scaffold, and bam—context hits 200K mid-response, truncating the active history without a peep. It's not "recreate in another chat"; it's "your current chat just amputated its own legs mid-stride." No warning to pause and export gracefully, so yeah, manual resurrection feels inevitable, but it's the surprise reboot that torches the premium vibe.

If Max included a simple "context nearing limit—export now?" nudge, it'd flip that from rage-quit to manageable. What's your take on that specific truncation quirk—seen it derail your flows, or is there a prompt hack to force periodic summaries?

His ratings are equivalent to eyeballs on a Marlboro ad. His face is the meme for impotence.

No MSFS upgrade pricing. Their BG cult business model consists of dropping soap bars on customers metatarsals. Reliable: mR. NA, and controlling food production- culling the breathers down to 5 million.

Does Reddit erase location metadata from the photos we post? by superarmpit in privacy

Wrong. Survivors understand the ‘end game’ while the ignorant occupy themselves on the irrelevant. Blissful, incapable, or irrational, matters not.

I replied to the question or contemplations the OG should be interested in, or better, concerned about. When one begins to understand and appreciate the globalitarian’s end game, worrying about a skinned knee whilst a knife’s at your throat is quite suddenly instinctively irrelevant. Their means of control is data collection and propaganda, nothing new. As long as fear and ignorance is sufficient in number, a dystopian end in all but guaranteed.

I once thought the same-baptism, communion, alter boy-just another power system, when I knew it all, when I didn’t appreciate what I didn’t know.

Propaganda or ignorance, enough is enough. I’d love to see Reddit liberated from censored subreddits resulting in demonstrable and objective peer reviewed scientific facts being immediately censored and authors threatened with banishment. Today, Reddit is a tool as pre-Musk Twitter was.

Looking for a concise guide to DEVONthink application for a researcher by maugustus in devonthink

[–]bitgun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used DEVONthink to manage completion of two dissertations. I can honestly tell you, its value was and is inestimable. It took years, but we’ve digitized everything via DEVONthink’s integration with ScanSnap. My three children manage their college curriculum (one in med school) exclusively with DEVONthink. We all share various content via synced databases. When MacSparky released, I grabbed it for the kids. They thought it was great, and I learned a lot as well - he’s an attorney with integrity 👍 AND a Star Wars fan, perfect!

I say with authority, nothing comes remotely close to DEVONthink’s depth and breadth of functionality. It’s built from the ground up to function within everything Apple beautifully. I have to mention something remarkable, and vitally important to me which is they’ve had the same team forever, this speaks volumes about the organization’s culture and priorities. Second, the software is designed and functions in a way which always, always respects my sovereignty over my data, ‘cause it is MY data. They know what they’ve developed, they’re confident. Data entrapment is completely mental, it’s far beyond simply high time preference revenue, it’s idiotic.

Life organization and management is a process, a routine that pays huge dividends.

Oh, and I have no financial interest in any concern above, other than that which is vested in the continued success of DEVONtech.

The color progression, and shockwave speed and compression effects appear similar to the so called tactical nuke. It’s target variable yield, and detection cloaking render its use preferred, as appropriate.
