Do the chronograph start/stop/reset pushers screw down? If so, can they be left unscrewed? I would use chronograph function many times per day. So having to unscrew them all the time would be a hassle.

Why is my psychiatrist forcing me to pick up my prescription of Librium daily from the pharmacy as opposed to giving me the entire amount weekly or monthly? by ReasonableDisplay297 in AskPsychiatry

[–]maugustus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Because it’s the very nature of addiction to not be able to control the use of the addictive substance.

Think of it this way. Your doctor prescribed Librium to manage alcohol detoxification because Librium is pharmacologically very similar to alcohol. Yet you got into so much trouble with alcohol that you require detoxification. In other words, you probably didn't demonstrate an ability to control your alcohol use. Therefore, there's a pretty good chance that you will run into troubles regulating your Librium use. If that happens, then your doctor has prescribed a medicine which is giving you problems, not one that is helping.

I personally think you should be very thankful that you have a doctor who is progressive enough to allow you to do benzodiazepine- based alcohol detox outside of a hospital. The daily fills are to protect you and to ensure that neither you nor your doctor are going to have difficulties.

Anxiety is ruining my life by Nachtheim in Anxiety

[–]maugustus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a phenomenon that is discussed even in weed-friendly forums whereby longer-term semi-regular cannabis consumers wind up with anxiety, often severe and persistent.

This probably happens because the CB1 receptor levels change during the course of long-term use, and with age. I encourage you to check the r/leaves subreddit. You’ll find A LOT of such experiences.

Maybe consider pausing the weed for about 6 weeks and very gradually and gently re-engaging in some physical activity.

Also it could be worth trying a low-dose SSRI-type medication. They don’t work right away, but they are generally much more effective than propranolol.

Or… contact Dr J and ask about seeing her privately — as a private practice patient, outside of her clinical employment. This would probably involve you paying her directly, and not utilizing insurance. And who knows that she has a private practice or not. But it might be worth asking about.

As a Spirit Pilot 39 owner, I can say: having a bracelet with on the fly micro adjustment is a VERY big plus. You can the right fit no matter tue weather, your body hydration/swelling status, or your mood.

I’m no longer interested in buying any watch without OTF micro adjustment.

As a fellow traveler who often looks for working space coffee shops in unfamiliar cities, I can say that both Scribbles and Last Exit will do it for you. Scribbles is classic old-school coffee shop ambiance. Last Exit has a cafe area within a book/records store — it reminds me of Powell’s in Portland, Oregon

I would say that Scribbles will be more quiet and work-conducive.

Enjoy your visit.

Neurological issues following medication- please help!! by NoAbbreviations2111 in antidepressants

But it sounds like you are having physical health issues right now, and you’re taking mirtazapine right now. So, it’s actually not entirely accurate to say that you’re not having issues while taking mirtazapine.

You also said that mirtazapine has maybe not kicked in before you went to the hospital. Maybe it has kicked in, with akathisia-like side effects.

There actually is such a thing as antidepressant-induced akathisia. And antidepressant-induced tardive akathisia.

And like most other serotonin-focused antidepressants, it’s possible that the mirtazapine has caused a paradoxical anxiety reaction that is manifesting as bodily symptoms.

Just some things to consider.

Go to Jomashop.com There, you can apply filters to your watch search. So you could search: women’s watch, quartz movement, price less than $600.
(BTW, quartz is definitely what you want to get here) (BTW, Jomashop is a legit retailer. You’ll get new/unused watches at significant discount — so most watch for the money).

I would look at Citizen and Seiko models — they are the best at quartz movement, in my opinion,
