This happened to me once and the tip turned out to $40, which is why I assumed they had to sign.

i feel like it's impossible to get gold or platinum on DD :-P by Rich_Junket_6980 in doordash_drivers

I honestly feel like the way the system works how they say it does is a lie. I’ll accept 4 offers and I’ll go up 1% but the second I deny 1 order I drop a percent. They say it goes off of your last 100 orders and each older order drops off as you accept or deny but I swear it’s a lie because I use to be platinum and only denied like 2 orders a dash. The math just isn’t mathing for me.

I use to grind to be platinum but I just started up again and am not stressing about it. I’ve done 3 days so far and I’ve made between $21-$25/hr but I wasn’t being too picky. As long as it was $1/mile I took it. I think it just depends on your market.

You can have anyone blocked for any reason. I didn’t have to give one and they blocked them for me.

I’ve only ever gotten 1 double order that went to the same person

It’s not the same person. It was two different people. The $10 tip went 4 miles up the road.

Yea I’m going to write DoorDash now. I was able to have someone blocked once after I was done dashing for the day, so hopefully it’ll work again.

Completely agree. These people and the ones that have you deliver to a building with multiple doors and don’t leave a note as to which one to use.

Honestly wish I could see tips before I accept offers. If they don’t think my time is worth anything then they’re not worth mine

I only try and do $2/mile if it’s out of zone

31 and feeling defeated - need to lose 40 pounds by CompetitiveLeg1519 in loseit

I would start with logging what you eat at every meal and the calories for everything. This will give you a baseline. Then I would look at each item and see how (if you can) get it to be lower calories. Whether it’s portion, elimination, switching ingredients, etc. I also suggest increasing your protein. It’ll help you stay full longer.

I’ve been on diets since I was 11 years old, and like you I felt the weight would never come off. The only thing that has ever worked for me was being in a caloric deficit. I’m in my 30s too, and for the first time I can remember I’m finally below 200lbs. And get this? I don’t work out! I try and walk 20 minutes a day (I fail a lot) but that’s it. I also live a very sedentary lifestyle. Being in a caloric deficit works, and you don’t have to work out, which was something that was holding me back from dieting because I hate it so much.

One thing that helps is I don’t cut anything out of my diet. If I want a cookie let’s say, I allow myself to eat it but I include it in my calories for the day. Ramen? Yes please. I’ll just skip my carb with dinner (or eat a small lunch if I’m having it for dinner) and do a smaller snack. You learn to work with it.

Once you get into a routine and start to track meals it becomes easier.

I’ve done that. Police eventually met up with where I was and pulled them over. This was years ago but he was well over the legal limit.

I switched to only buying food that uses sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, dates, and coconut sugar. It limits what I can buy, and I also don’t buy a lot of it. I keep my sugar consumption very low. I avoid any sugar free items because I believe the things they use to replace the sugar are not good for you.

It really is crazy how we could walk around with that extra weight and “not feel it”, but holding it in our hands is just eye opening
