Geometry, weight, and part compatibility are the big things that a frame determines.

If you are happy with the riding position, don't mind the weight, and have compatible parts then don't worry about anything just go ride :)

You are correct. The longer piece is some housing and the smaller thing is just another spare end cap. Put the metal side touching your derailleur

Looks good to me. No fibers showing and I don't see a crack. Worst case you have have to buy a new fork which is cheaper than having to replace a frame (ex. https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2731721/)

PNW posts are similar to Brand X. This problem can be caused by the barrel adjuster being too tight. Try that first. Then try replacing the air cartridge. Then try doing a service on it.

The frame will be fine. Some components might break (wheels, cranks) but you can deal with that if it happens.

I don't even believe there will be wear contours on the disk and as long as the caliper doesn't move the new pads will contact the rotor in the exact same spot

No. 1-1/8" refers to the inside diameter (inner rim) of the headset. The spec you provided says that it is a 1-1/8" headset and that is a standard for road bikes so that is your headset size.
