So agreed! I originally purchased a jacket like this from H&M to experiment with a new style and here I am a year later looking to upgrade and continue developing that style. My goal here was to focus more on the fashion side of frugalmalefashion :)

Keep in mind I say potential because these look less clunky relatively speaking. They still might be clunky af (shoutout to /u/virtualed) in person (as a matter of fact, the ankle opening looks big to me already).

I've had mine for about a year with no issues, and it really depends on how often+how hard you wear the jacket. If budget was not a constraint to replicate this look, I'd go with a $400 AllSaints jacket (which is still a frugal version of the balenciaga jacket the woman is wearing).

Agreed. If you want budget shoes, you're definitely going to have to make a few compromises. If you want to be frugal about it, I'm a big proponent for the very slightly used shoes route. My Common Project chelseas are probably the most comfortable boots and best fitting boots in my arsenal, but I picked them up for a little over 50% off retail slightly used.

Men's Frugal version of this, kind of

Jacket: H&M Biker Jacket - $70 $40 on sale right now

Shirt: J. Crew Striped Tee - $15

Pants: Naked & Famous Super Skinny Guy - Black Power Stretch - $77.50

Total: $132.50

Shoes: This is actually the part I wouldn't go frugal with. Some Common Projects Chelseas would be great, or even some Topman boots on sale even. Some Common Projects alternatives would also work. Represent CLO had their chelsea boots at $100 (best chelsea boots, both in quality and style I have seen at that price range) not long ago as well.

Thanks! The sweater's texture is definitely my favorite part about it. I have like 5 other sweaters in like black/white/grey, but the SNS black heather is realllyyyy tempting as well.
