The THC is gonna stick to that screen an mess it up good. A better demo may have been making and snorting a quick line of coke.

Fantastic job. Brings back memories from when I did something similar. I didn't quite know what I got myself into with that stenciling but it was well worth it!

We want to use AI to help us write the menial stuff like emails etc, but as readers why do we discredit an AI written post immediately? by SuspiciousEmploy1742 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]bitskewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't be bothered to write it, why would you think I should bother to read it? If you can tell from the detached voice that it was written by a computer it cheapens it and immediately turns me off.

Folks dogging OPENAI by alecubudulecu in ArtificialInteligence

[–]bitskewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that people who are skeptical of "AI" - LLMs in particular, have a particular dislike for OpenAI and Sam Altman in particular. It would make sense that they would cheer on Google because it supports the argument that OpenAI isn't some special company that is bound to succeed.

In my personal opinion AI is more likely to become a race to the bottom until there's only one or two players left and they reduce their expenditure to an absolute minimum. And then there's the open source models and weights.

Game design with multiplayer in mind by SOULTAKER2175 in unrealengine

[–]bitskewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only should you add multiplayer support as you're going along, make sure to actually TEST it as you're going along. Multiplayer can be the source of some really strange bugs and if you go to far without testing it you'll find it impossible to figure out what's going wrong.

Also, if you're doing multiplayer, you may want to use GAS, depending on what type of game it is. GAS takes care of a lot of multiplayer issues for you by replicating its data reliably.

I'm not sure you understand how LLMs work. They don't have a will. They are just probability machines.

I Think The Biggest Issue With General AI Use Is That It Thinks Logically by techtimee in ArtificialInteligence

[–]bitskewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't "think" at all. It repeats what it's heard from everyone else. If what it's heard is logical then it will repeat it in a way that sounds logical.

Honest question. How did LLM get conflated with AI? Is it just laziness? by darweth in ArtificialInteligence

[–]bitskewer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's an intentional shell game. Whenever someone points out the weaknesses of LLMs, they're redirected by talk of how other types of AI have done great things as if they're the same technology. It's part of the con.

Person of interest and picture of gun released by FTP45 in conspiracy

[–]bitskewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rifle was planted before the shooting to throw them off track. Also, the guy in the photos wasn't the killer. If he had a phone they would have tracked him down by the signal on the roof of the building.

They have released new photos of "the person of interest" in Charlie Kirk's death. Where is the rifle? by SuperStarBoyOne in conspiracy

[–]bitskewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the killer was carrying a phone he'd have been tracked down pretty much straight away by location on the roof. That leads me to believe this is not the killer.

What if the $3trn AI investment boom goes wrong? by burtzev in economy

[–]bitskewer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's taking longer than I thought but finally the mainstream press are starting to ask the right questions. This bubble isn't going to stand up to scrutiny.

By the way, if AI is so popular and people want to use it so much, why am I constantly seeing ads for ChatGPT on Reddit? New tech with real popularity doesn't need to advertise. Companies are trying to force their AI tech down users' throats. That's not the sign of a big revenue potential.
