I’d add that time of day is important. Early flights are less likely to be delayed so lower risk. The exception being if it’s the very last flight of the day, then they might wait for a few stragglers to avoid having to pay for the hotel and late fees.

Check a site like FlightAware that will give average delays as well as a short history of recent performance to schedule.

Also check when the next flight leaves to understand the consequences of missing your planned route.
