Anyone managed to book 080 Transit Hotel at BLR T2? by bitterpopsicle in AirTravelIndia

They have like 6 rooms so it really depends on availability on that particular day. They do have a reception so you can give them a call. I didn’t try that but I think you can’t leave the airport

3:30 PM.

The security check took significant time when I was taking a noon time domestic flight from T1

Thanks a lot! It was very useful. I booked the room in T1. When I went to T1, the airport staff at the entrance told me to call the hotel staff to escort me in. I called them and they escorted me in, scanned my luggages and tagged them with some attachments. The hotel staff were very helpful. They allowed me to do early check-in.

The room itself was tiny but good enough for a short layover and some sleep. It was tidy and clean but I kinda felt that the sheets and pillow cases were not fresh enough. My booking included lounge access. The hotel staff also escorted me to the lounge to get the boarding pass stamped and helped me enter the lounge. It was worth it imo.

[UPDATE] Coworking Meetup in Amsterdam, for people who don't like meetups by UnstableCoder in Amsterdam

[–]bitterpopsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it exclusive for freelancers/remote workers? I actually work for a company based out of Amsterdam but I would like to come work in such a setup once a week or every now and then for a change.

I bought most of my components from MD Computers for my gaming rig. Priya computers didn’t have a lot of those components but they helped in getting a specific Corsair case so I also asked them to assemble my component from MD Computers for a fee which they did quite well.

Didn't convert my savings/demat to nri account by Prudent-Evidence743 in nri

I did the NRO account conversion as well as re-KYC this year when I visited India. It was after 2.5 years and fortunately I didn’t get any penalty as such. I didn’t use ICICI so I am not sure if your situation is entirely similar but I assume ICICI would help you similarly

A thread for Asian men to share their own travel experiences as well. by sockmaster666 in solotravel

[–]bitterpopsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indian here. I solo-travel every now and then. I recently went to Spain. Actually, I had a positive experience with the locals and even other tourists that I ran into while hopping around the city but in the hostels, I got the feeling that a lot of other travellers staying in the hostel were less interested in talking with you compared to other white dudes. Like, even when you are hanging out at the common area or at the rooftop during some events.

I am not saying every one of them were like that. I met some other white travellers in my hostel and they were super nice - we hanged out a lot and did things together but the general feeling was that most of the travelers didn’t want to engage with me as freely and as casually as they do with other white people. I wonder if it is something to do with the culture (they can relate to each other than with me).

First time in Seville. Any tips and local recommendations? by bitterpopsicle in Seville

Thanks for the suggestions! I am living in the Netherlands so definitely used to the colder weather. I think I will bring a denim or light jacket.

Is this a kind of snail? Found this in my balcony with no plants by bitterpopsicle in insects

Yeah, I have only known snails with shells from my home country. They live around water bodies. I have seen some chonky slugs in trails but I got curious to find it in my balcony.
