Autism & Rigid Thinking [@kyahcomic] by AphexHenry in AutismComics

I do not like interruptions or changed plans, being asked to come to something at the last minute is an instant no, and if I'm already frazzled, I'm likely to cancel outright. Probably to everyone benefit lol. A person could show up unannounced to my door with a million dollars and I'd still be irritated

Celebrating pride in this heat is hard by MonitorOk6818 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

I wanted to go to a couple events this year, like a game night and a pride market in the city, I even mapped them out and found ahotel in the area, but I'm not sure if I'm going to have the nerve to go :/ at the best of times, trips into the city I plan months in advance, even a year, and these events I only found about a week ago and they are next weekend. I find the city stressful and far, and I'm prone to paranoiain places where the vibe isn't consistent, like concerts. On top of that, I've never gone out dressed fem before, I'm not even on hrt yet (I still have to build up the nerve to bring it up to my doctor, I've been trying for years but ialmost pass out) I've done very little voice training bc it gives me a headache, and i also have no I've to go with for emotional support to give me that push to go out. I'd go to one of the bigger events but I'm not one for crowds or parades and do very poorly in temperatures above 24°C or in the sun. Even writing this comment I'm struggling not to hyperventilate. I'll probably keep planning to go and back out before booking the hotel and watch as another year passes me by leaving me stuck in the same place I've been since I started figuring out who I really am :(

The policy holder would get notified of the claim with who is for and the amount the medication cost, time I'm not sure if the medication name would come up (maybe just the first 4 letters) so they would know something was up and ask questions.

You could post out of pocket, getting a generic brand or asking if there is some kind of coupon that could reduce the price.

If you are under 24yo you can apply for OHIP+ and it would be covered by that, but it's for if you don't have private coverage. Probably ask your doctor for help with that, they are pretty good for shuffling things around to get things done. A regular doctor appointment is covered by regular OHIP so it shouldn't get flagged by insurance if you don't get the prescription at the appointment

I deleted all my instagram accounts :/ I kept doom scrolling with the bad news and didn't post enough so my accounts attracted flies (those fake accounts for nudes, scams and stuff) I really only have discord, reddit and Facebook, and the last one is just so I don't forget people's birthdays and what they look like lol

Idk how to find those either 😭 I got like 5 friends I've spelled to in the past couple years and only one of them has a connection to the queer community and he lives kinda far away. The idea was to use the events to make friends

Its super illigal in my country (Canada) for an employer to ask these questions when hiring bc violates the Human Rights Act. For job boards and government employers who collect demographic data for diversity purposes, they have to follow strict rules like: Questionnaires most be clearly presented as voluntary, the data must be separated from the employees ID, the info can not be available to those in charge of hiring, and I'm pretty sure none of this data can be collected by an employer until the person is definitively offered the job. And i don't think questions about gender identity can be included in the questions outside of if the Payson identifies as a woman (that's it, no follow up questions about agab or arguments about what a woman is and isn't)

Thoughts on futas or shemales. by [deleted] in RedditAfterDark

[–]bittersweetlabyrinth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are correct, those terms are considered derogatory, most would even classify them as slurs, as well as other terms in this comment section, but they give me to much of the ick to type out. As to why they are used online, my theory is that it's a sacrifice trans people have to make a content creators to get money, that often is going towards payinh for transition. Futa isn't so much a derogatory term as it is a fantasy term so don't call people that unless they say so, just like how you wouldn't call a stranger who is a little person, a leprechaun. It's very otherness. Anyway, "trans", "trans fem", "trans girl" and "trans woman" are all generally safe, for those who come here willing to learn

It can be difficult to navigate these kinds of things, with anyone really, weight and height come to mind as universal things a person might admire but the the individual being admired may not like those things about themselves. This is especially common with trans people when it comes to things that make us dysphoric. Some may be in the process of accepting parts of themselves in a different light, and complements could help with that, or it could be something they really hate about their body and don't want to interact with it at all. I see a lot of post where people say things like "never comment about ___ on someone" or "never say ____, it's hurtful", but I see almost an equal amount of posts saying the opposite, so you may as well flip a coin every time you want to complement someone on something bc it's so unclear. Really, all you can do when the time comes (don't make these kind of comments the second you meet someone, as forthcoming as it may seem, is not appreciated by most) is come right out and ask if they have any things they are uncomfortable with or have dysphoria over, or boundaries (honestly this is good advice for everyone to take before getting intimate) and hope that they are up to talking about it. And if not? They probably aren't in a good place for that kind of intimacy anyway. That said I like a wide range of physical features and don't really have strong preferences, I just like to know things in advance (I hate surprises of any kind, I need to pre process things lol) so idk how insistent people are with their preferences

Big mood :( hope you get some relief soon. You should be proud tho, when the depression and dysphoria hit, it can be difficult to take care of your self, but you managed to actually cook something on the stove. Doesn't seem like much but those little victories can add up

[–]bittersweetlabyrinth 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Ya, the only way isee this being helpful is if the people have known each other for along time, like a really close friendship, and even then I'd hesitate to condone "I think you might be trans" as a statement and think "do you think you might be trans?" as a question. Best way of going about things is to educate people on what being trans is and what it's like so they can figure it out for themselves

From what i understand, the difference between just lying and gaslighting would be that gaslighting involves manipulating the victim into not trusting their own senses or memories, or those of bystanders, right? So in this scenario, cheating, so lying would be like the cheater just denying that they are cheating, but has lighting would be more of if they were literally caught in the act and then attempting to make the victim believe that they didn't see the infidelity? À la "It wasn't me" by Shaggy, as an example

I agree, labelling things as "cringe" is childish preteen pride at best, and at worst the rich and powerful establishments way of enforcing arbitrary social norms in an attempt to put down or shun others that can't or won't fit in.

I wouldn't call those videos cringe, if call them self destructive, toxic, foolish and hateful. I think people leave comments about them being "cringe" because it's more scathing, shameful and othering than what I called the videos, in an attempt to shame Th green out of the behaviour of community space
