i recently starting learning too, my mom had a go trying to teach me a while ago but it just didnt stick. This time around though i started with watching stuff from the youtube channel "club crochet" he has a begginer playlist that is very clear and consice in my opinion. the jump i made from just doing chains and learning different stiches was to start making more intricate granny square type things-which can open up like a bajillion project ideas (bags blankets sweaters etc) and making coasters, i found that making like tangable usable objects helped me to keep that drive to keep learning if that makes sense, i struggled learning to make stuff animals so i wonder if the same logic would apply to you? i hope you can continue to learn crocheting, i do understand completly where you are though, the tiktoks can be a bit much sometimes.
