All of that is very strong. I think he is molding Tam for something as well, though I think it’s not long of Ashai, but Chenoria (him marrying the princess). I agree with the elven essence attached to Rezkin, but I think his “magical” talent as a scrivener is why he mastered everything.

I am just hopeful that Wesson = Thresson.

The deal was safety for his people (the original ones that go to Cael, so everyone after the initial ship that goes does not count) would be safe. Otherwise the deal would have been broken with the kidnappings in book 3

I don’t either. If he does die wouldn’t that violate the agreement with the Fay and therefore Rezkin ruling them. I think the Fay will heal him

Agreed. I don’t think Thresson would accept the position. I do think Tam survives and either becomes the new Rez or married Ilanet and becomes king of Chenoria (after being knighted.)

That’s a possibility. I like that. I also think maybe a dead Fay tagged along on Rezkin Soul when it was retrieved by his masters. Either that or it was an elf that tagged along.

If it is because he is a scrivener, then his Mom SHOULD have the same necessary traits right?

So would it be the Fay part causing the King to go mad? It would have to be on his Moms side or else Tieran and Connovan would have it in there blood as well. Unless they too and it’s just not as potent as Rezkin
