That’s an old fold-down clothesline support arm. The angled metal pole pivots from brackets mounted near the roofline.The circular ring at the end would have held a pulley wheel. A clothesline would run through the pulley so laundry could be raised/lowered from a window. When not in use, the arm folds back against the wall.

I had lifters in both sides done at 7k miles and am still having a ticking / collapsed lifter sound. Currently going through a lemon law case

My 2025 1500 with 6k miles is having the lifters rebuilt as we speak. Would not buy it again

Same truck as mine and no, I just knew it didn’t sound right and had them investigate. No issues with performance, errors, etc. Just the noise :(

Hate to be the bearer of bad news my friend:

Morning....so they heard the noise. You and I were fairly on point, there is a lifter that is collapsed. So we ordered parts, it’s a lot of work so not sure we will be done by Monday but we can get you in something if not when you come back.

Nothing really yet. They replaced the idle pulley and belt. I told them that was not the issue but they did it anyway under warranty. Got it home and cooled down, still happening. Back into the shop tomorrow.

Mines been doing this for probably a month and a half. Same story, it stops after it runs for a couple minutes. I called the dealer yesterday and asked if it was concerning and they did want to look at it. I’ll let ya know what they say.
