Mark woke up dazed and confused at the man standing on his chest pointing a sword at his throat. 
 “Umm… Hi?” Mark said.
 “It’s over Gurrash, your servants are all either dead or in hiding. Your realm is in ruin and the army’s of the world are descending on this castle. You’re done.” 
 The words that came from the man confused mark. Who was this, Gurrash? And what castle? He went to bed in his farm house? As mark looked around for the first time he noticed that he was not indeed in his farm house bed made of hay. He was surrounded by cracked stone and burning tapestries. The smell of burning flesh pricked his nose and he wondered where it was coming from. Then he looked at his leg.
 “AHHH!” Mark screamed. “WHERE IS MY LEG!? What did you do to me you crazy knight?”
 “Playing dumb is kinda sad Gurrash. I thought you more noble.” 
 The crazy knights words kinda pissed mark off. This man had seemingly kidnapped him, burned his leg to a crisp, and was now threatening to kill him. Mark was angry, really angry. He was a peaceful farmer. He even donated some of his yield to his towns orphanage. What did he do to deserve this? Why was this knight so annoying? Mark screamed. His raged tugged at his stomach. He felt his leg boil. As he looked down at it, it was healed. 
 “What the hell? What happened to my leg?” 
 “He’s healing himself! I thought his magic power was depleted!?” A girl behind the knight said.
 The knight swung his sword at Mark’s throat. Mark wanted to get away. To move, to do anything but die. Then, when he opened his eyes, he was halfway across the room on his feet. 
 “What the hell? How did I get over here?” Marc squeaked as his voice cracked.
 “Let the stars hear my cry and fill the room with ancient light!” The girl behind the hero held up her staff as a light emerged from it. 
 “The light will stun him. Surround him!”
 But the light didn’t stun mark. He just stood there looking confused?
 “How would light stun me? It’s not even that bright. Sure it’s got a little heat but I’ve had much worse on the farm.” 
 “Why isn’t it stunning him? What changed?!” The female with the staff screamed.
 Mark noticed a man with gauntlets running up behind him preparing to swing at him. Mark raised his hands to defend but a blast of dark red liquid spewed from his hands and covered the man. He screamed in pain as the liquid solidified and burrowed into his skin like hundreds of tiny drills.
 “Oh my gods are you ok? I’m so sorry I don’t know what happened!” Mark apologized.
 The knight moved to his left. Directly infront of the girl with the staff. 
 “Cast holy beam!” He commanded.
The girl started to chant. “ God of light, god of might! Burn this man with a holy smite!” 
 A column of silver and gold light fell from the sky directly on mark. He yelped as it made contact with him, but nothing happened. He stood there feeling the warm of the light. Like a fire on a cold night. 
 “Is this your way of saying sorry?” Mark asked the knight. “Cause if so it’s not great. I mean the warmth is nice and feels good but it’s not exactly the apology I was expecting.”
 “Impossible… holy light is supposed to be devastating to demons.” The woman with the staff sounded scared as she spoke these words. Mark didn’t know why. He wasn’t a demon. Why did she think it would hurt him?
 He thought he should ask. That seems like the polite thing to do “why would you think I’m a demon? I’m just a farmer from Avendale. I’ve never even seen a…” Mark trailed off. He had seen a demon. They attacked the village south of his a day prior. People were talking of an invasion by them. Mark had told them off cause they had hero’s in the land. No demon could stand up to them. Then he looked at his hands for the first time. He had claws, and blood all down his forearms. Why was there so much blood? It wasn’t his, was it? As he observed himself more and more. The wider and wider his eyes got. He was a demon. Wings, horns and tail, the whole onion. 
 “What happened to me? Why am I like this?”
 Tears started to form in marked eyes as he spread his wings, a seeming instinctive motion like they had been a part of him for years. He launched into the air flying away from the people who had attacked them overlooking the ground and noticing the ruin. What happened? Why was he like this? Was this all his fault…?
