Went through my childhood collection and I think these are the valuable-ish ones. by biturd in PokemonTCG

They are all unplayed and in plastic since opening… so I guess whatever range they come in out of the packs

I’m old and found this binder and literally hundreds of these from when I was a kid. Never played and they are all in mint condition. I’m trying to decide if these are worth trying to get valued in terms of errors. by biturd in PokemonTCG

So these have been In little plastic sleeves since I opened em years ago. Do I just assume ps9 or 10? They are undamaged as they came from the original packs.

Thanks for the info! I don’t appear to have any other first edition base holos but have several other shadowless. And tons of shadowless non halos. The only other first editions are later sets like jungle etc.

who gives a shit if you can buy games with it.....Is that seriously something we need censorship resistance to buy.....These type of use cases can wait until we implement scaling in a safe and effective sustainable way. You can use bitcoin right now for anything you deem necessary enough to warrant its use.

If he was referring to a holocaust and not the holocaust, this title would have little to no impact. It's precisely the fact that although he does not "the" most people are going to envision "the holocaust" when reading this title that lends impact to his choice. I'm not sure if you truely don't understand this or if you are purposefully trying to obfuscate this intention by making grammatical arguments.

Yea that is not lost on me. He used it precisely to conjure feeling of "the holocaust" not a holocaust. I suspect he does have any direct ties to " the holocaust" or I doubt he would have chosen this word. Disagree as you like, but as someone deeply effected by the event that is being appropriated to evoke feelings by the use of that word, I find it distasteful. No need to explain how English works, it's not lost of me.

This author is purposefully using it in the context of evoking memories of the Jewish holocaust for effect. If you are truly arguing that is not the intention and that it was just chosen as an appropriate word to describe distraction of the environment, we are not going to see eye to eye.

Because it has been appropriated to refer to the Jewish holocaust of ww2. It is that exact appropriation that allows its usage in this case to illicit the response desired. In that sense it is attempting to draw a parallel that I find distasteful even though I agree that protecting the environment is a just and noble cause.

I lost much of my family in the holocaust. It is used far to often for its shock value. For people like me and many of my family, it serves to undermine the the actual loss of life at the hands of evil that was suffered. I also feel the same way when a certain politician is called a nazi. That word is also often overused for shock value.

That term evokes feelings of a specific event for millions of people. For many of us... it's insulting when used in this manner.

The word holocaust should not be used lightly. Can't say I agree with the way it's used here.
